Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your optimistic doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
It was raining this morning! Hooray! The grass is finally greening up, and the garden is looking better. Do you see Garden Buddha in the picture below? He's found a nice cozy place where he's protected from the rain by the surrounding plants.
Ghostwriter is wishing she had more flowers this summer, but between the drought, and her being sick in June and July, she wasn't able to plant much. However, I wanted to point out that there are still lots of things that are growing like crazy in the yard.
You see? Happy green things growing everywhere!
I love that smile at the end!ReplyDelete
Mimi likes that big round rock you have.ReplyDelete

YAYY for green! FYI letting weeds grow could mean you are part of the movement to re-wild and let nature return where it can:)ReplyDelete
Please tell GW we thing her garden is lovely...especially as hot as it has been and dry here too.
Our grass is so crunchy we don't even thing goats would eat it and you know goats will eat anything. Hugs madi your kitty friend
Not to worry about those green things. They are pretty too and I'm sure they've appreciated being allowed to go wild. The snow'll soon knock them around, aye?ReplyDelete
Crikey Chester ... I forgot to mention that last picture ..... Hehehehehehehe ... Too funny, mate!Delete
That last photo is hilarious! We need rain really, really, bad!ReplyDelete

We love your smile and your yard is SO green and lovely. Our yard was looking pretty good, then the commercial lawn service who does the neighbors cut into our property and mowed down the hemlock tree and flowering plants Mom put in this Spring. She uttered some Spanish HBO words at him.ReplyDelete
My mom didn't even git any flowerz planted 'cept what iz in the big blue flower pot. We got a lot of stuffz growin'like what iz in your pikchurez - 5,6,7&8. Of course u with your smile at the end iz the BEST pikchure.ReplyDelete

You look happy in the last pic! Or like you're laughing at the dandelion pics. :)ReplyDelete
Good smile buddy. Glad that things are good for you Chester.ReplyDelete
Funny, we have a garden that is a twin of yours, BOL!ReplyDelete
Pawppy always says the amount of weeds we have keeps the yard looking green even during drought times, but this year was so bad even the weeds were wilting...but...now they are growing like the proverbial weeds!! Sigh...
we have those same green things growing here, they don't seem to need much waterReplyDelete
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
We too have those plants in our garden.ReplyDelete
We have those very same weeds in our gardens - and way too many of themReplyDelete
We sure were happy about the rain too. Our pawrents have been complaining that it's been too hot to spend much time in the garden getting rid of those things you showed pictures of but with today's cool weather we think some of them will be leaving today.ReplyDelete
Did you know that your mom and our mom grow the same kind of green flower plants all over our flower beds also....heheheheheh stella roseReplyDelete
Hi hi hi! Ojo here! Look at all your green growies! Does your person like them? The dandylions are especially pretty, I think!ReplyDelete
Your mommy must be furry pleased with all the green things growing in her garden, especially since she was too sick to plant them herself! What a nice garden!ReplyDelete
