Fun Times

Greetings friends and fans! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your excited doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

As you can see, I have a new squeaky toy! My Jason human gave it to me. Please excuse the fact that the pictures of me with my brand new squeaky toy might be a bit blurry. I never keep still when I have a new toy. I carry it around, and fuss over it, and slobber it all over, and then I find one little weak spot and chew a hole so I can take out all the stuffing and the squeaker.

Meanwhile, my Jessy human was having fun participating in The Eighth Annual Witches of Delray Ride for Charity benefiting the Achievement Centers for Children and Families. Hooray!

Here's a link for more information and lots of fun pictures:

Meanwhile, I'm working on my squeaky toy.

Meanwhile, my Jason human got on a jet to Florida so he could visit his sister Jessy. He sent a picture from the jet just before it landed.

Meanwhile, I'm still working on my squeaky toy.

Meanwhile, Ryan and Lily went trick-or-treating in Webster!

And they got some pizza too!

Meanwhile, I'm starting to pull the stuffing out of my squeaky toy.

Meanwhile, my kitty cat cousin Tibie was helping his Joanna human to study for a test. He looks so helpful there, doesn't he? I bet he has all the answers!

Meanwhile …

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz …

More Autumn Beauty

Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your spit-shined doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Yes, I finally visited my groomer Miss Jacquie for a buzz cut! Here's a picture of me as a "floppy moppy" before the hair cut, just for comparison:

There was enough fur for a whole other doggie!

Getting to my report now, Autumn in WNY is proceeding with super changeable weather. One day it's dark and rainy. The next day it's sunny and clear. The following pictures are from the sunny days.

In contrast to that, Tuesday it was dark and cloudy and raining the whole day. Later in the evening, the sun peeked out from under the heavy clouds. Ghostwriter was just starting her dinner break at work when she saw an amazing sight! A full double rainbow!

Wow!

It was so spectacular and seen by so many people in Rochester and the surrounding area, that all the TV stations and the local newspaper featured it with lots of pictures! Here's a link to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle report if you want to see more rainbow pictures:

Now, check this out! Today my ghostwriter was running errands when she saw this:

These mall geese were blocking traffic in a busy intersection. Well, they have a lot of nerve!

For my last item, we found a nice picture of my esteemed, late colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel from October, 2015. Wasn't he a handsome guy? We still miss him a lot!

When Fall Comes

Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your diligent doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

We have a cool, cloudy day here in WNY, and it truly feels like Fall. The leaf colors haven't quite peaked here yet. But we have no shortage of colorful things to see.

The last roses

Hawthorn berries

Birch tree in the front yard

A colorful bug

Hydrangea flowers

The garden Buddha

A few colorful leaves

Golden sunset

A hunter's moon rising

My favorite miniature humans, Ryan and Lily had a great weekend at Lake Placid.

On top of the world!

Wow!

We'll be sure to report on more Autumn color in the next weeks. In the meantime, get your warm coats out of the closet, because, as much as my ghostwriter wants to deny it, cold weather is coming!

Too Much Working, Again

Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your bored doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

My ghostwriter said that starting September, her work schedule would go back to three days a week. Well, I could have told her not to hold her breath. So guess what???? The night nurse quit! Now the staff from day and evening shifts have to cover those hours between 11pm and 7am. What they've been doing is a nurse from the evening shift stays until 3am, and then a day shift nurse comes in. Tonight it's my ghostwriter's turn to work from 3pm to 3am. Blah! After that she's pretty tired, and we haven't been doing much lately. So I've been spending a lot of my time sleeping!

What? Oh, you're headed out to work again.

Whatever.

I hope she gets to retire before she gets to this point:
