Icy Icy!

Good evening. This is The Daily Bone, Princess Edition, and we are your on-the-spot student reporters Rosy and Baby Spaniel.

We are on location in the back yard and standing on solid ice! Yes indeed! A few nights ago something called sleet and freezing rain (according to our ghostwriter teacher) fell from the sky. Since this is our first winter here on Earth, we have never seen anything like this before. The next morning everything was covered with ice. It was very fun to look at, and eat. Icicles are delicious!

Ghostwriter and Dad have been very upset about all of this ice. We think it had to do with them not being able to go anywhere. They said something like the ice on the cars was so thick they couldn't get the keys into the locks, and the driveway was like a vertical skating rink, whatever that means. Incidentally, this was fine with us. Where else would they want to be except home with us?

Today is got warmer out. The sun shone through all the ice in the treetops and the icicles hanging from the roof.

Then it got windy. Suddenly there were shards of ice flying off the trees and slabs of ice sliding off the roof tops with a big crash! The clouds were zooming by faster than the two of us puppies could zoom around the yard!

But mostly the sun shone brightly into our window and that made the perfect sun puddle for us to take a good comfy nap.

See you next time!

We Got Some!

Hello everyone. This is The Daily Bone, Princess Edition, and we're your puppy reporters Baby and Rosie.

We were just minding our own business, playing with our toys, when this happened:

The bright red Cardinal was sitting in the pear tree wondering at this too.

So we went out to run and play!

We were super tired after that.

And now for a word from our angels Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel and Chester L. W. Spaniel:

Hey everyone! We sent the snow back to you!

If you check out The Daily Bone from February 22, 2015, you'll see that we had tons of snow!

If you're wondering who Charlie is, he was an old blog friend of ours from Australia. He used to ask us to show him some pictures of our snow, since he's never seen any himself.

The Girls

Um, hi. This is The Daily Bone, Princess Edition. We are the student reporters and resident princess sisters Baby and Rosie.

We have been told that we have a lot to learn before we can do any professional reporting like our predecessors Chester L. W. Spaniel and Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel. Our Mommy (aka ghostwriter) says our first lesson is to always remember to look up and look down to find amazing things.

Well, we looked down and found out that old pinecones taste great. So does grass and dead leaves and sticks on the lilac bush and pear tree. (We don't think Mommy is too happy about us eating those things.) We looked up this morning and saw the sun rising.

There was a little snow on the grass. (Snow is yummy too.)

When we went inside, we had a tug-o-war over a chewy toy.

We also practiced our food-watching technique.

And that's all for now. It's nap time.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz .......

Ghostwriter here. You wouldn't ever think these two princesses just got their spay surgery last Monday. They insist on running around the yard like crazy, romping and playing indoors and out, and not listening to me when I call them.

Oh, and they asked if they could use this song for their future princess reports:

Squeaky toy serenade

We Stole the Snow!

Hello everybody. This is The Daily Heavenly Bone and I'm your angelic doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel, along with my erudite and equally angelic companion Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel reporting from Over the Rainbow Bridge.

We noticed that there is no snow on the ground in WNY where our ghostwriter, Dad, and the girlie pups Rosie and Baby live.

Yeah. We were wondering about that!

Well, there's a reason for that. We were looking back at some old posts of TDB and saw how much fun Joey and I had in the snow over the years.* So we stole the snow for ourselves.

But don't worry. We'll send it back down to earth in a few days or so.

Now for some news on Rosie and Baby. They went to their first vet visit yesterday for a check-up and shots. They were a bit overwhelmed for a while. But the staff were so kind and patient. Needless to say, after all that attention, the pups took a nice long nap.

Week Two

Greetings friends and fans. This is The Daily, and I am your original ghostwriter reporting today.

The puppies, Rosie and Baby have been here for two weeks now, and it's been very busy. They're finally settling down into a daily routine and having less "accidents" in the house.

Us? Accidents?

They love running in the snow!

It's been bitter cold here the last couple days, so we don't let them stay outside for more than a few minutes.

They keep Dad and me very busy. But I did take a little time to notice the ever-changing sky.

Is it dinner time yet?
