Comfort Food

Hello everybody. This is The Daily Bone Food Column and I’m your culinary expert doggie host Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel, Doggie Chief Inspector, comestibles division, and founder of the Yum Yum Coalition.

As the weather cools off, our family switches to different foods. When it's cold out, it's OK to cook things that might heat up the house. I've been observing these changes, and I must say it all looks good to me.  Of course, I always get to sample the goods.

Grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. A classic.
Chinese Take-out. Excellent after a busy work day.
Home made oatmeal with brown sugar. Only takes five minutes to cook.
Chicken breaded with turkey stuffing, baked potato, steamed vegies. Great!
A perfect pear. Simplicity at its finest!
Cabbage rolls. Old Polish family recipe.
Sea salted caramel cashew ice cream. Heavenly!
Spaghetti and meatballs, with green beans. Good anytime.
Hey Chester, this is MY gig! Get lost!
Chicken and biscuits, sliced tomatoes with fresh basil. Yum yum!
Recipes available by request.

    1. We doggies always get the last bite of everything. Mom has been doing this for so long that even when she's at work, she can't eat the last bite of her lunch because that's the "doggie bite!" So she brings home the last bite of her peanut butter sandwich and gives it to us! Good training, I'd say!

    Salads...I do like crunchies!
Yogurt...the containers or bowls are all mine when empty...
    Tidbits of meat, YUM!

Lets see...I scored yogurt, tomato, carrot, cucumber, lettuce, and some teeny bits of burger. Then I got my real supper...kibbles...
