National Dog Day

Hello ladies and gentlemen and doggies. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your lovable doggie host Chester L. W. Spaniel along with my amiable associate Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel

Today is National Dog Day. Hooray, a whole day all about doggies!

We almost missed our publishing deadline today because our ghostwriter (and Dad too) has been away since Sunday afternoon, and just got home. It was a joyous occasion to have her (and Dad) back and we did our usual greeting ritual. After hugs and kisses, I grabbed my favorite squeaky ball and trotted around with it proudly. Joey dog jumped on the couch and rolled around on the doggie blanket. Why he does this, I have no idea. He's just weird that way. Every doggie knows the proper greeting should be the puppy prance with a favorite squeaky toy! We celebrated some more by barking vigorously at the pizza delivery guy and then enjoyed some samples of this delicious fare.

That's all we have to report for now.

Happy National Doggie Day!

  6. Hey doggies. I was right. When your humans come home, even if they've only been gone a few minutes, they always want to play a rousing game keep-away! Be careful with Mum's purse, Princess. Sometimes purses have things inside that doggies shouldn't eat, like artificially sweetened candy or gum, chocolates, and medications, or sharp objects like pens. You don't want to end up with your picture on www.shameddog.com or worse, in the emergency vet! Oh, and we weren't all alone the whole time Mom and Dad were gone. Uncle Jason was there. But he works 8 to 5. It was boring at times, but we survived. Thanks for the well wishes for National Doggie Day! Hope you all had fun.
