Happy Spring

Greetings friends and fans. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your earnest doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Today was the Vernal Eqiunox. That means the day and night are of equal length. In the Northern Hemisphere the weather will generally start getting warmer now. We actually did have a nice sunny day for a change, with temperatures in the 50s. The only flowers we have so far are the puppy willows. I did some running on the flattened grass littered with old leaves and sticks.

However, we're not getting too excited yet. The weatherman says we're getting snow this weekend. Blah! Yes, even I am getting tired of snow!

Oh, and tonight a super moon will be coming up. That  means the full moon is at it's closest distance from Earth and may appear a bit larger than usual. (I'm hoping it won't cloud up again so I can have a nice conversation with my dearest Princess Leah.)

We had a nice sunset.

Oh, here it is! Happy Super Moon Spring!

Below is a scholarly treatise on the Vernal Equinox and the Super Moon

  1. That's all that we see blooming here too is the puppy willows! We had a gorgeous 1st day of spring too and we enjoyed many hours of it outside!

  2. How nice that you have some puppy willows blooming in your yard. We have our witch hazel blooming right now and with the warm weather yesterday they were covered with bees. Our driveway markers are still in the ground just in case we get enough snow for our plow guy to come. We are really hoping he doesn't.

  3. Chester I agree...it is time for the weather blabbers to find a new tune.
Lovely photos though of the great out of doors.
I hope you and your lady love get to chat tonight.

  4. We like your puppy willows! We saw an enormous moon last night - we will check tonight, maybe it will be even bigger. Mom says now she knows why a couple of us were wild Indians last night:)

  6. The super worm moon was kinda hazy by us last night, C. It was still pretty super though. Plus I'm glad there were no actual worms involved. Mom has worm-phobia.

  7. I love to see you in your backyard without snow looking for the blossoms. We hope the snow passes quickly and melts soon
