Don't Blink

Greetings friends and fans. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your devoted doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

As you can see, there is snow on the ground. Ten minutes ago, there was none!

We've been getting snow flurries on and off all day. But that's typical for the middle of March here in Western New York.

Here's the sun going down.

Now, surprise! A sunset with snow falling!

Then it cleared up.

And then, more snow flurries.

Check out our weather map at 6:45pm:

All the blue areas are patches of snow moving over WNY.

I got a quick glimpse of the moon from the window. But it disappeared within a few minutes as the clouds drifted by.

A little bit later, there it is again!

So I went outside to howl at it. But it soon disappeared again.

It's kind of cold and dark and scary out now. The wind is humming ominously through the tree tops. I'm going back in. Good night.

  1. It looks kinda cool (pun intended ☺) there Chester! I would loves to stand out there under the snowflakes. though, that last pic does look kinda scary....better head inside for a yum yum treatie!

  2. Hello Friends! Ole Man Winter doesn't leave all that easily does he? And I don't like going out when it's dark outside either - We had to do that the other night because outdoor kitty Gino forgot his curfew. At least that's what he said! :-) Hope you all are warm and cozy tonight, and the wind dies down - We're having the same kind of night, and I just hope our power stays on and no trees blow over.

  3. What a rather strange weather day you had, Chester. My snow is all gone now *sob sob*
    Happy St Patrick's Day!

  4. Geeeez Chester your weather is as fickle as ours. Gorgeous pictures !
    Hugs Cecilia

  5. It was nice to have that hint of spring earlier this week but now we are back to winter. Typical fickle WNY weather.

  6. Hopefully that snow will go away for good real soon!!
    Happy St. PAtrick's Day!

  7. Well if you need some snow, we still have tonnes of it.

  8. Maybe you will get lots of snow overnight. We have NONE now. But at least it was a dry and sunny weekend. The ground is a bit drier and that makes Mom happy:)

    Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

  9. Over here it is proper spring again. Hope yours arrives soon as well and then you get busy again with the squirrel maffia!

  10. That disappearing MOON phone makes our calls very difficult Chester. I do wish the weather would make up its mind...I even had HAIL this weekend...brrrrr, far too cold fur this Princess!

  11. Howling at the moon seems like SUCH a good idea, C. I don't howl or even bark much, actually. but I can see how it's tough to pin that disappearing moon down to tell it how it is.

    Love and licks,

  12. I want to know if you have ever seen it snow on a sunny day?

  13. You go inside and snuggle with your peeps.

  14. Oh Chester L. W. Spaniel we are having a Full Worm Moon now does that mean if we howl at the moon we will get worms? I think I'm staying inside just in case.
