Don't Blink

Greetings friends and fans. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your devoted doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

As you can see, there is snow on the ground. Ten minutes ago, there was none!

We've been getting snow flurries on and off all day. But that's typical for the middle of March here in Western New York.

Here's the sun going down.

Blink!

Now, surprise! A sunset with snow falling!

Then it cleared up.

And then, more snow flurries.

Check out our weather map at 6:45pm:

All the blue areas are patches of snow moving over WNY.

I got a quick glimpse of the moon from the window. But it disappeared within a few minutes as the clouds drifted by.

A little bit later, there it is again!

So I went outside to howl at it. But it soon disappeared again.

It's kind of cold and dark and scary out now. The wind is humming ominously through the tree tops. I'm going back in. Good night.

  2. Hello Friends! Ole Man Winter doesn't leave all that easily does he? And I don't like going out when it's dark outside either - We had to do that the other night because outdoor kitty Gino forgot his curfew. At least that's what he said! :-) Hope you all are warm and cozy tonight, and the wind dies down - We're having the same kind of night, and I just hope our power stays on and no trees blow over.

  5. It was nice to have that hint of spring earlier this week but now we are back to winter. Typical fickle WNY weather.

  8. Maybe you will get lots of snow overnight. We have NONE now. But at least it was a dry and sunny weekend. The ground is a bit drier and that makes Mom happy:)

    Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

  11. Howling at the moon seems like SUCH a good idea, C. I don't howl or even bark much, actually. but I can see how it's tough to pin that disappearing moon down to tell it how it is.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake
