For The Birds

Hello everyone. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your trusty doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

It's been cold and snowy here for over a week! The birdies have been eating a lot of seeds lately. Ghostwriter and Dad fill up the window box feeder sometimes twice a day!

Mourning dove and starling.

Junco.

Sparrows and juncos.

Sparrow.

Chickadee and squirrel.

Two squirrels.

Squirrel under the birdie feeder.

Shall I go get him?

Grrrrrrr.

The seeds are for the birds!

Time out for snow zoomies!

Do I get a treat now?

Dad says all this snow is for the birds too.

NEWS FLASH NEWS FLASH NEWS FLASH NEWS FLASH

I have been working on a supposedly indestructible doggie squeaky toy for a few weeks now. Today I managed to pull the guts out of it.

Soooooooooooooooo, ghostwriter took those guts and tied them around the squeaky toy.

Sheesh! Now I have a whole new project!

Harumph!

Oh, and since writing this report, the weather has started to warm up quite a bit, and the snow is melting. I wonder what I will see when I wake up tomorrow morning. Tune in tomorrow to find out.

  1. Our snow which was about seven inches deep is a yucky mess rightnow...

You and Eddie, our cousin should get together...he too is a most expert at dismembering and detuffing/destroying stuffies of any kind! Even at the tender age of less than one year old.

  2. How clever Ghostwriter was to re-invent your toy, Chester! Our weather is warming this week too and that means MUD where there is no grass. YUK!

  5. You got more snow than we did. We are supposed to get some more snow though. Unfortunately it is gonna be really cold for Christmas. We were hoping the snow scared your squirrel away!

  6. Around here there is no such thing as an indestructible toy. Good luck re-destroying that toy Chester. We're sad to report that on the east side of town our snow is all gone. We're hoping for some more real soon.
