Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your tireless doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
We had a very busy day here at my house today. Most of my human family came over for an early dinner. We could hardly fit 11 chairs around the table! And I could hardly find any room to food watch.
There was tons of food! Ribs, potato salad, cole slaw, green salad, baked beans, bread and butter, and yummy deviled eggs! But the best thing was birthday cake for our dear Oma who will be 91 years old on September 6th!
It was a busy noisy fun and non-stop afternoon for me! I got lots of good treats! Just when I thought things would quiet down, a great big thunderstorm with hail rolled in.
After that quiet descended and I thought I might get a nap. But no. Ghostwriter went outside in the rain to take pictures. I couldn't understand why she would do that. I thought the humans didn't like going out in the rain. She said something about the sun setting at just the right angle.
I was barking and whining about being left in the house while she was outside!
But here is what she saw:
And then the sun set.
