Not Bad For Half A Day

Hello everybody! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your diligent doggie correspondent Chester L. W. Spaniel.

This morning it was cold and dreary. We doggies thought it would be like this all day; plus ghostwriter left for work at 6:30am. But after she came home, the clouds started clearing up, and we found a few interesting things to photograph.

Strange sky.

Joey in the sun.

Tiny toad.

Look out post.

Reconnaissance mission.

Fuzzy bumble bee.

Sunset.

Good night!

  2. Crikey ..... they were interesting alright. We heard yesterday that all the bees were disappearing in America. It was good to see you still have one in your backyard. They are disappearing here in Australia too but we still have some in our yard. Mum said when they ALL disappear so do we. Fair dinkum ..... that's mighty scary, aye?????

    1. We have lots of native bees around here, like bumble bees, green metallic bees, carpenter bees, and others we don't know the names of, plus lots of different wasps and flies that do the pollination jobs. They don't make any honey, though. We still see some honey bees around.

  6. Very interesting and varying skies! We saw a massive shelf cloud on Tuesday float right over our house - it was jet black and carried a lot of strong wind. Lucky for us, no damage.

We had our eyes on one of those treerats this morning from our lookout windows - if only we could pass through glass:)
