Double Shift

Greetings. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your humble doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel along with my esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

Our ghost writer had to work a double shift yesterday. She left at 6:30am and didn't get home until almost 11pm! So there was no TDB yesterday and no Flower Friday.

Oh, and last night there was a huge thunderstorm at 4:30am! Ghostwriter woke up and came downstairs to sit with me and Joey. Our Jason human did too. It was a real loud with lots of bright lightning! Joey dog was shaking and afraid. But we all went back to sleep an hour later.

This morning, I looked out the window, and this is what I saw:

A chipmunk AND a squirrel!

Commencing routine patrol …

The sky was full of big puffy clouds. Ghostwriter said it felt like Florida outside because of the heat and humidity. It will probably rain some more, but hopefully not thunder like last night!

Well, that's all there is to report right now. Ghostwriter wants to show you at least a few flowers. We doggies will just take a nap now.

IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT IMPORTANT

Addendum: It's really hot here! Tomorrow it will be 90 degrees! Here's a reminder for all pet owners during this kind of weather:

At the last doggie show ghostwriter went to, there was a big sign that said any cars with doggies left in them will be broken into to free the doggie, and we will not be responsible for damages to your car. Everyone out there, if you see a pet languishing inside a hot car, call the police immediately!

  1. That's a very long day and night for the Ghostwriter - hope you let her get some extra zzzz's today. The flowers and bugs are amazing to see. Mom just returned from seeing The AntMan and has a new appreciation for ants:)

  3. Sorry - that was me with the delete - Computer was logged in with a non dog account.

So sorry your Mom had to work so long, but you got a little time together. Keep those squirrels and chipmunks apart - together they might launch even more evil plots.
