News From All Over

Welcome to The Daily Bone. Thanks for tuning in. I'm your diligent doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel. We have lots of news today!

First up, here is what ghostwriter found when she got home from work:

The beautiful sunflower that was growing by the back door was almost falling off its stem! If you look closely, you'll see the stem was actually chewed through.

That's outrageous!

This is definitely the work of the Evil Squirrel Cartel. They have beheaded sunflowers before, and we cannot let this heinous act go unpunished. The DOUBLE DOGGIE HOMELAND SECURITY SYSTEM will be working overtime chasing those nasty miscreants off our property.

In other news, our favorite miniature human, Ryan, sent us pictures of his recent intergalactic voyage to the State of California. He said he loved flying on the big airplane. Wow!

Sand in his shoes by the Pacific Ocean.

On the other side of the planet, our Florida associate Miss Charlee has an announcement.

Hello everyone. My Jessy and Dan humans got their official engagement pictures taken. It was raining that day, but they made the best of it. It seems that my forever home has gotten even more forever-ness!

We do have a bit of sad news today too. Our friend Pat in PA says her cat Tricky is very sick and might not make it much longer.

We'll be thinking about you, Tricky.
And now for a report from Maddie cat.

She and Tibi have signed an agreement regarding the ownership of certain toys.

For the cause of peace, Tibi got his very own cat tree by a window separate from Maddie's. You see? Peace is always possible …

… unless you're a squirrel! Grrrrrrr.

That's it for tonight folks. Please have a good night, and tune in tomorrow!

  1. Soft woos and gentle hugs for Tricky - tough to watch them grow old:(

We think it is time to call in the reinforcements - those squirrels have gone way overboard destroying the beautiful sunflower:(

  2. Mom said that is the most beautiful engagement photo she has ever seen. She then sniffed and said something about "dang allergies". What a happy, happy thing to be going on in your family.
