End of July: Thoughts and Memories

Greetings loyal readers. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your faithful doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

This time of year always brings back some sad memories in our family. In July of 2010, our  beautiful girlie dog, Miss Ginger passed over the rainbow bridge. Then, in July 2016 my esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel left us as well. As you know, we never forget our angels. So here are a few pictures of them.

Miss Ginger in her sunny spot.

Miss Ginger was the queen of the house. She was never afraid of thunderstorms. Even though she lost her vision when she was about six years old, it never stopped her from running around the yard, and leading the way on walks. She was also an excellent singer, and provided music at every meal.

Long time readers will remember Joey dog. He was Doggie Chief Inspector, comestibles division, and Founder of the Yum Yum Coalition. He often did entire posts just on food watching.

He was my best friend and I still miss him a lot!

you were blessed to have such wonderful siblings ..
PS remind your hu-mom that August 28 is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, an annual event all over the pet blogging community and a very special day when we will remember all our angels ...

  12. Hi, we remember Joey dog but Miss Ginger is a little fuzzier in our memory. We understand how deeply you miss your two. We just passed out 15th anniversary of losing Max, our sheltie boy from long ago. It gets better with time, the heartache, but it really never goes away does it? We wrote you back. Do let us know if you don't receive it. Give Chester a treat and a hug from us. Sam and his dad.

  13. Great post!! We didn't have a chance to get to know Miss Ginger in real time but she's a very beautiful doggie. We often think of Joey Dog whenever we talk about Angel Momo. Mom especially often find her in the sky.... :) . Hope summer is treating you well, Chester!!
