Greetings fellow doggies, kitties and humans. This is The Daily Bone and I am your diligent doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
Ghostwriter is having a hard time keeping up with the days. She can't believe it's already Saturday again! I say she should quit looking at calendars, like me, and stop worrying about what day it is. The only important thing about Saturday to me is that it's time for the yum yum report.
Here we have some simple things that are good on a cold day.
Chicken soup, and grilled Swiss cheese sandwich. |
Home made chili on rice, with cheese, and chips. |
Spanakopitas, and salad with dolmades and Greek dressing. |
Chicken marsala, noodles, and vegies. |
Here's a submission from my kitty cat cousin Maddie. Do you see her?
Roast chicken, olives and cheese, and bread. |
Sparrows Incorporated has been having a daily feast at our window birdie feeder.
Dad puts peanuts in there every morning for the blue jays. They usually snap them up pretty quickly before the Evil Squirrel Cartel even thinks about coming around.
Those that do, get chased up the tree by yours truly. The leaves are almost gone from the silver maple so now I can see him up there. That demented squirrel has no choice but to sit in the cold wind and listen to me barking. Bwahahaha!
Now for a few food-related funnies.

Chicken marsala has become our Dad's favorite dinner, even preferred over a good steak. But we want him to have steak because Mom doesn't let us have any of the chicken marsala because of all the scallions:( Meanwhile Mom is drooling over the pan of chicken and biscuits.

ReplyDeleteOMD!!! Maybe now that my juices are stoked and running, I might even deign t eat my own bowlful of noms. Crunch...hey etcretary those tasted good...I like Dalton's food better than my own, BOL!!!
ReplyDeletePetcretary also says your noms look furry delish!
We can hardly keep the sunflower feeder full...and we have three peanut feeders, but they last a couple of days or longer. These rainy chilly and dank days do not bring out all the birds. Though now that the suet blocks are back up there are more wood peckers and they love the peanuts, too:)
Have a lovely Sunday!
You sure do have the bestest meals at your house, Chester!
ReplyDeleteWe are all drooling over the food in your post!!! Especially those chicken and biscuits!!! Might be coming over for a visit! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat Yum-Yums as always, C. Wow. And that chicken and biscuits pan - oh boy. You need to get begging into overdrive for that one! Good luck.
