Saturday With Joey Dog

Hello everybody! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your healthy doggie host Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

Spring is proceeding nicely here in Western NY. That means ghostwriter can actually go outside without her coat on! The grass is growing like crazy and the flowers are blooming.

Tulips and chives.

Lilacs.

Dandelion.

Buds on the pine tree.

On her way to work, ghostwriter saw a whole herd of dairy cows lying down in the pasture, enjoying the warm sunshine and fresh green grass.

The baby birdies are coming out of their nests. Everybody tends to think about baby birdies as being cute and fluffy. Well, take a look at this little gargoyle! It's a baby grackle. I wonder what his name is? As you may know, grackles are very ostentatious and have fancy names that usually describe their favorite past-time: poo bombing everything in sight. How about Fuzzy Takadump?

My delusional colleague Chester L. W. Spaniel spent a long time trying to convince little Fuzzy to come down from the hawthorn tree and play with him.

I don't think ghostwriter would mind if he did come down to play with Chester, after what his parents did to her car!

Here are Mom and Pop Takadump (Poopsie and Bing) squawking and dive bombing us for being in the back yard and too close to their precious Fuzzy!

But enough about those annoying grackles! Now, without further ado, here's my weekly food report. First up, an old stand-by: spaghetti and meatballs, with a green salad on the side. Excellent!

Today ghostwriter had teriyaki salmon with Nishiki rice, and steamed vegetables. Yum!

Dad doesn't like fish, so he had a nice grilled pork chop instead. Tasty!

Here's something I shouldn't be eating: Schwann's chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream! Ooooo, it has peanut butter swirl and little chocolate covered peanut butter cup candies. As you all know, chocolate isn't good for doggies. But I got to lick the bowl anyway.

To finish up, I took a good, long, refreshing drink of water. See how the special spaniel bowl keeps my ears from getting wet?

Now it's time for some funnies!

Pickles

Take It From the Tinkersons

Dog Eat Doug

In other news. Chester says to be sure to howl at the moon tonight. It's going to be a Blue Moon!

For more information on the Blue Moon check out this website:

That's it for my Saturday report. I hope you have some good weather where ever you live, and lots of delicious yum yums!

  1. Creepy baby grackle. A face only a mother could love?

The birdies here like to take a dump with more flair. I usually find their excrement dripping down the passenger side window. That takes skill.

  2. Wow, my yard has a lilac with buds, but no blossoms yet! I think baby birdies are fun to chase, but my peeps don't like for me to do that. Ptthththt. Gosh, my peeps just ate salmon last night for dinner and I'm having some ice cream on my bloggie today.
