The Unauthorized Daily Bone

Welcome to the Daily Bone. I'm your humble doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

First of all, I'd like to have a word with my ghostwriter.

You have been working way too much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You forgot to do Saturday With Joey Dog, and the Monday Evening News too! You finally have a day off today, but got talked into covering yet another evening shift. Now you won't have a day off until next weekend.

So I guess it's up to me to write The Daily Bone tonight. We all know what that means: random stuff, comics, and silly pictures! For starters, here is our Florida associate Miss Charlee wishing everyone a Merry Christmas from her house.

Here's our favorite miniature human, Ryan who flew up to the North Pole to visit Santa.

Ghostwriter says Ryan should ask Santa for this nice red truck for Christmas that she spotted across the street from the nursing home. Wow! I wish I had one of these so I could get those crummy squirrels from the tree tops! I'm sure Ryan would drive it over to my house for just such an endeavor!

We have NO snow here! In fact, it's more like Spring weather with temperatures in the high 50's, gray skies, and rain.

Our garden Buddha is laughing at the great big dandelion that's blooming in front of him! What's next? Daffodils?

I have a special Christmas present for our favorite miniature human, Ryan. It's an action figure of my favorite super hero. If you can guess what it is, please don't tell him.

Oh, and I'd like to remind my dearest Princess Leah that there will be a full moon on Christmas Eve. I checked it last night. It's almost full, but the reception wasn't very good because of the clouds.

And now it's time for the Yum Yum Report with our culinary expert Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel, Doggie Chief Inspector, comestibles division, and founder of the Yum Yum Coalition.

Pork chop, spanakopitas, and salad.

Pizza.

Lemon grass soup.
And finally, here are a few choice comics we found.

Happy Christmas everyone!

  1. Wow, great post today! I'd like one of those cool fire trucks for reaching squirrels too. Nice idea. BOL I hope Santa brings me some pizza and pie crust too. I think we should all have a big howl at the moon when it's full.

  6. Thank you for the smiles! The truck is cool. Mom and Dad have red British cars in the garage that they swear at and make comments about "Lucas Prince of Darkness", but the cars are fun to drive to the steam engine fest in August.

  9. OMD! How I am glad that growlmy only works part time, and that is way too much sometimes, too! But kudos to your Ghostwriter for being there fur all her residents. Growlmy has to work Christmas and the weekend...

It was kind of a sad place at her work the past several days...4 of her ladies passed away, how she misses them. It must be really hard fur the families now, each time Christmas rolls around.

Those are funny comics! We here love Mutts:)

We had torrential downpours today...at least we do not need to get out out shovels, maybe a boat, though, BOL!

    1. Ghostwriter should only be working 4 days a week. But this week it's 8 days in a row! Everybody better show up to work this weekend, though. She's on call, but would really like to see her family rather than go in for yet another work day. That would only be fair!

    2. 8 days in a row seems like slavery. Sheesh!
Growlmy works 3 evenings a week...that is plenty enough she says.

We hope you get to have lots of family time!
