The Monday Evening News

Greetings one and all. This is the Daily Bone and I'm your humble doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

We have a lot of different things to report today. As you know the Christmas season is almost here. But we have no snow! In fact, we've had record high temperatures!

Indeed, it feels very Spring-like today. A particular stink bug thought Spring was here and came out of hiding to bug ghostwriter's computer screen.

Naturally I stepped right up to fight with this annoying creature.

But ghostwriter reminded me that it's called a stink bug for a reason!

Pee-u-eee!

Ghostwriter did a bit of "Spring" cleaning in her office, including dusting off her display shelves. She has a vast collection of squeaky toys that are NOT squeaky toys. That means I am not to touch them, sniff them, take them off the shelf, or molest them in any way.

Just look at my excellent self-control! I can literally turn my back on these squeaky toys.

Yesterday our favorite miniature human, Ryan, came to visit. He was fascinated with another one of ghostwriter's collections that she only brings out at Christmas time.

In other news, our friend Maddie cat is getting fed up with Tibi the mischievous kitten getting into everything, and stealing her toys, and making messes all over the place!

So she made him his very own personalized time out box.

When asked if she would like to make a statement, Maddie cat replied, "sorry, but he's really getting on my last nerve!"

My esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel would like to make an announcement now.

Thank you Chester. I would like to express how happy I am to hear that our good friend Momo has agreed to attend the Blogville Howl-i-daze Hijinks Event with me. Momo is a gorgeous Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who lives right across Lake Ontario from us, with her brother Pinot and her humans. You can visit them at:

If this mild weather keeps up, I'll be able to give Momo a bunch of pink roses from our garden.

Back to you Chester.

And now I would like to remind my dear Princess Leah that there will be a full moon on December 25. I hope we have a clear night so we can talk on the moon phone!

And now without further ado, Joey dog and I are going to rest up while we can. Good night.
