Changeable Day

Hello friends and fans. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your versatile doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

I am standing in the back yard, and it's snowing. It's not snowing very much, though. Earlier today it looked like this:

But then the sun came out and it all melted.

Since then, it's been snowing on and off, with a fierce wind blowing.

A little later, the sun came out again.

Gee, I wish it would make up it's mind! Anyway, we were able to catch a few nice photos.

The last rose is still blooming. We're wondering why it hasn't gotten blasted to bits by the wind.

The fading colors of the Fall leaves.

The clouds were zooming by like they're on the Indy 500! It soon turned gray again.

We were treated to a brief sunset. By 5pm it was almost dark.

Better to just stay in the house! The weather report says it will get warmer again by the weekend.  We'll let you know how that goes.

Oh, and my ghostwriter says she's in her annual winter denial mode: it's not truly winter until we have a really big blizzard, or Christmas, whichever comes first. (OK, whatever.)

  1. You are getting all the weather in the same day. Stay warm and dry. It is amazing you still have a rose.

  2. It was much the same on this side of the county today, Chester. We hope Christmas comes before we get our first blizzard...at least that's what our mom says.

  6. Off and on snow is pretty without being a pain in the neck. Meanwhile, that rose is a tough cookie. .....Did somebody say cookie?

  8. What beautiful skies Chester...this time of year we go from pouring rain to bright sun in a wink of an eye. Weather can be so very fickle!

  9. Mom doesn't really know what kind of berries these are, Chester. The red ones are hanging off a tree and the bluish ones are on a bush.

  10. Hi friend! Ojo here! You are versatile in the weather indeed! I think the couch is the best place to be when the weather is weird, especially when it's windy! Good choice!

  12. We like the couch here as well. Especially on grey days. Some hot chocolate, a good (Christmas) film and away we are...

  13. Hello Friends! Just stopping by to let you know I'm thinking of you and I hope you had a good Thanksgiving! I also hope that lovely rose lasted a bit longer, and some warm weather showed up too. There's still plenty of winter to come, no rush for snow and cold, right?
