Snow For Sale!

Greetings friends and fans! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your diligent doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

As you may know, we had a big snow storm for the last couple days. Today my ghostwriter finally was able to get out and do some shopping. She took pictures of the gigantic snow mover machine monster thing that clears snow off the BJ's plaza parking lot.

The mountains of snow it made were as big as a house!

But check this out!

This snow mountain is for sale or lease!

Wow! I'd like to buy that enormous pile of snow and have it dumped in my back yard. Imagine the fun we could have sledding down it! It probably won't melt until the middle of May!

I'm going to run back into the house and call them right away before anyone else buys or leases this snow mountain.

"Hey Chester, come here pup!" (Oh oh, I don't like the sound of that! I'd better stick my head in the snow and pretend I didn't hear it … )

Well, it would have been a great day, except for one thing. Unbeknownst to me, I had an appointment with the vet! Yes, that's right! I was unceremoniously put in the car, driven over the big hill, and after checking out all the pee mails outside of the office, I actually had to go in! I had a routine check-up, and three, count 'em, three shots!!! Plus I had a blood draw. And that's not all!!!! They stuck a needle into that big lump on my belly to see what it is. Harumph!

At least I got some yum yum treats there. Oh, and they called me a little while after I got home and said they looked at the stuff from my lump, and said it was just another benign lipoma like my other lumps. But it is getting rather big and getting in the way of my walking. Other than that, I'm in pretty good health. Now about that snow mountain …

Oh, there is one more story from today. Dad, who is half Finnish (he says he's always half finished, hahaha) says today is Kalevala Day. Here's some information about it below. Please note, the Finnish mythology and folklore, as written in the Kalevala, is completely different than the better known Norse/Viking mythology. And after that is a link to some wonderful music by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. It's a bit long, but totally worth listening to! Please enjoy!

  2. Hey, I'll take that snow!!!! Though, it would melt in minutes here, too much rain and WAY too warm.
Chester, I too, am full of those lumps! Luckily, like you, all good on the Airedale front. Paws crossed it stays that way for both of us! Oh, Ma found out from one of those DNA testing thingies that she has Finnish in her too! She started getting all these relative notices from peeps in Finland, it was wild! She only knew she was Spanish and Irish. Gpa says that explains why Ma loves the cold BOL!!
Anyhu, she's gonna take a listen to the Finnish music, and get in touch with her roots...BOL!
    Kisses,
    Ruby ♥

  3. We don't have any mountains of snow in our area this year. You are so lucky, Chester, and we are so happy to hear that your lump is benign and hopefully, it won't have to be removed.

  5. This post has us cracking up. We think we could make a killing if we could get into the snow for sale business too. How much do you think we could get for the mound at the end of our driveway where our snow plow guy piles it?

  6. I for one do NOT want to buy the snow mountain. It would for-sure touch my belly, and that is NOT COOL! Enjoy, C!

  7. Chester that is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of snow piled up. It will be there till May I'm guessing.
What a trick to let you romp and play then kidnap you to the vet. I hope the blood work and the aspiration are A OK. Sending hugs to you, GW and Dad...LOL loved his Finnish joke.

  8. If we could get Mom's plastic thingy out of her wallet, we would buy that snow. But luckily we are supposed to get some overnight tomorrow into Sunday. Here's hoping it will be a LOT.

  11. Chester L. W. Spaniel Oh You're in pretty good shape for the shape you are in I have one of those darn benign lipoma on my chest too. I think you should think of better ways to spend your money like yums yums for the tummy why all you will end up with is water buying that mountain of snow.

  12. We don't like those snow mountains. They are coming our way. We won't handle it as well as you do. Prayers that the lump on your belly is nothing to worry about

  13. To start, I'm glad it was a good report from the vet about that lump! Our girl has a couple that are ginormous and harmless too.

And second, that snow mountain that's for sale - I'll bet there's a good view on the top! But did you know that there are people who actually sell snow? I've thought of buying some to send to my sister in law in Florida who has never seen it ... Crazy huh? Crazy that she's never seen it, crazy that I'm actually thinking of buying it!

Take care friends, and I hope you have a good week!

  14. Dear Chester,

Your snow looks fabulous! And you look fabulous zooming in it too!

I am very sorry to hear about VET. That is terrible! I am glad that your lump is a friendly lump. Will it go away, or is it going to keep bothering your walking?

    Licks,
    Cobi

  15. That would be a fun mountain of snow to slide down! I'm sorry that you had to go to the vet. Bentley has one of those bumps on his shoulder and we are going to have to have it drained soon, I'm afraid.

  17. Oh, MY! Petcretary said if we had a snow mountain like yours here, we would be able to climb right out of our yard, BOL! And BTW, we don't think we like snow *that* much...

Glad your lump is just a nuisance, but hope you won't have to endure too much if it has to come off...stupid lipomas...

    Hugs and woofs and waggles!
