Yum Yum Report

Hello everyone. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

So sorry I haven't done a Yum Yum report in such a long time. My late associate and culinary expert Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel would be disappointed in me! But ghostwriter and Dad seem to make the same dinners all the time, and keep them quite simple. Not that I'm complaining. I always get a sample of everything.

They did have a few different things worth mentioning. First up, lunch from Fox's deli! Authentic matzo ball soup, potato latkes with sour cream and applesauce, and Fox's famous Rueben sandwich. Amazing! Be sure to visit their website and see the funny pictures that go with  the names of some of their sandwiches.

Oh, and then there was Easter dinner! Ghostwriter cooked up a big pot of collard greens with smoked turkey wings.

She served it along with crock pot barbecue ribs, mashed sweet potatoes, and corn bread. Not exactly a traditional Easter dinner, but it was very delicious.

Some Easter candy. Not for doggies, though.

Last week we had some good old pizza and chicken wings from Pizza Corner.

Now we have variations on the basic theme. Here's some chicken breaded with turkey stuffing, with a baked potato, and green beans.

Ravioli and mixed vegetables.

Chicken and biscuits.

Meatloaf with baked potato and steamed vegetables.

The classic grilled cheese sandwich, and tomato soup.

And finally, a seasoned pork tenderloin, with mashed potatoes, and green beans.

Today's TDB Yum Yum Report was brought to you by the Yum Yum Coalition, founded by the late Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel, Doggie Chief Inspector, comestibles division.

Pass the meat, please.

Now it's time for food related funnies!

Speed Bump

And finally, I found this funny comic that Joey dog would love, since it illustrates what happens when your human gives you table scraps like brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.

Silent but deadly!

Oh, and don't forget to visit Laika's doggie blog and send your condolences for the loss of her best friend Vaks. Here's the  link again.

Pipo, Minko, and Mr. Jack Freckles' petcretary made a beautiful memorial picture for him.

  1. We love your yum yum reports. Joey would be proud. Everything your Mom and Dad makes looks so fresh and tasty. Mom's going to try the stuffing as a chicken coating - what a neat idea.

    1. We use Pepperidge Farms turkey stuffing for this dish. It tastes great on pork chops and chicken. Be sure to put a pat of butter on top before you bake it. (This was Oma's secret weapon: butter on everything! haha)

  2. Lady is always interested to see what others eat. Thanks for sharing that great food. Latkes are one of Lady's favourite foods!

  3. Your dindins always make me drool, Chester! My sissy is coming for dindin tomorrow and you just talked mom into making raviolis! yummmmmmm

  4. Your pawrents sure eat better than ours. Of course with no kitchen right now it has become a real challenge. Those funnies were great especially the last one.

  5. your food always looks so delicious!

  7. Yum! Tasty looking noms your peeps make, Chester!
Then I had a good giggle. That is good fur digestion, right?? BOL!

  8. What a fascinating report, C. I enjoyed seeing all these yum yum foods, and I am reassured to know that you get a sample of each dish. When Mom gives me a sample of her foods, it's smaller than her pinky nail. I wish I could figure out how to get a bigger sample. But I'm too small to reach the table to help myself!

    Love and licks,

  9. Oh yum. yum indeed Chester! I want to taste test ALL of those meals!!!!!!
And I do luffs to do the pre rinse bit on the dishwasher but for some reason the peeps don't appreciate my help *sigh*
    Loves and licky kisses
