Flower Friday

Hello everybody. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your observant doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Spring is proceeding here in Western NY. The daffodils and hyacinths are almost done blooming. But  now we have some tulips.

Here are the first of the lilacs:

The sweet woodruff is starting to bloom too. It has a wonderful, fresh smell. Even when the flowers are done blooming, the leaves release their scent when it rains.

Don't forget the forget-me-nots!

Unfortunately, it's also lawn mower season. It seems that on sunny days, we hear lawn mowers all day long! How annoying!

Oh, one more thing that has nothing to do with flowers. We finally watched "The Secret Life of Pets" on Netflix. I've been waiting for this for a long time!

I saw every kind of pet imaginable, even sea monkeys, in that movie!

A highly recommended movie for all you pets out there everywhere!

We just heard some sad news from our friends in Denmark. If you follow Laika's blog, you'll find out that their dear doggie named Vaks has passed  over the Rainbow Bridge. Please visit them at the following address to leave condolences:

  1. Your flowers are so beautiful! The forget-me-nots are such a beautiful blue♥
We'll have to be on the lookout for that movie, Chester!

  2. Your flowers are beautiful and I especially enjoyed seeing the forget-me-nots as they are a childhood favorite not often seen in my area. Wasn't Secret Life wonderful; I'm glad you got to see it.

  3. Pretty flowers make us smile. It is rainy here today so you gave us a big smile.

  4. You sure have lots of flowers blooming in you yard. We hadn't seen any lilacs blooming yet so we will keep our eyes and noses pointing in their direction. Our mom just loves the smell of lilacs.

  5. Such pretty flowers. But for the tulips we don't have anything coming up yet, as it's been an unusually cold Spring.

  6. so many colors!! beautiful

Sorry that you had to say goodbye to a good furend. That is always so hard...

I didn't know that furmily, but I did see them 'around'. I helped petcretry make a memento picture for them, and left them some soft aroos, along with some kitty purrs.

  12. Spring is pretty at your house! We're sorry to hear about Vaks.
