Saturday With Joey Dog

Hello everybody! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your doggie reporter Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

This is my rug. It stays on the floor in a special spot. When I sit on it, I can see all over the house: up the stairs, into the kitchen, and the dining room. Plus I have a good view of the front door, and the back door too.

I like to rumple up my rug, and then lie down next to it.

But never mind that! I have lots of yum yums to show you from this week. Yesterday we had pork tenderloin that was seasoned with Jamaican Jerk Spices, along with mashed sweet potatoes, and basmati rice. Yum!

The day before, we had grilled bratwurst, with parsley potatoes, and green beans. Delicious!

Another day we had grilled chicken, with mixed vegetables, and couscous. I don't know exactly what couscous is, but it tasted great!

We had some big weather changes yesterday. One minute it was sunny, and the next it was raining.

Sometimes it was doing both at the same time!

Our ghostwriter has to work the holiday weekend, so you might not hear from us again until next week. We hope you all have a great Fourth of July!

Don't forget, some pets are very frightened by loud booming fireworks. Our humans usually stay at home during the fireworks display in our town, and turn the TV on loud, so we won't be too scared.

  2. The foods looks yummy. Mom and Dad have been feeding me a big spoonful of vanilla yogurt every night and I am so enjoying that after my dinner.

  3. Awesome rainbow!!! That pork tenderloin looks wonderful - did your Dad grill it on the grill or roast it in the oven? Mom is always looking for a good pork tenderloin recipe.

    1. We use Tropical Pepper Co. Island Jerk seasoning, which is a wet spice mix. It tastes great on pork, chicken and salmon! Yum! This tenderloin was grilled, but you can also just pop it in the oven.
