The Monday Evening News

Hello everybody. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your hardy doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

We have several things to report today. For one thing, our ghostwriter finally had a day off after doing overtime all last week. I have a bit of advice for her: the next time work calls you to see if your want to do some overtime, just say no!

And now, for our main story, I'm happy to report that we have some snow, even if it's not much.

It's very cold, and the wind has been howling and thundering through the tree tops. The clouds have been constantly moving and changing.

Oh, and ghostwriter wanted to show you what she saw at 2AM this morning.

This is moon setting in the west.

We doggies were asleep at 2AM.

And now my colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel would like to present a special food report that couldn't wait till his "Saturday With Joey Dog" post.

Thanks Chester. We had a special treat for lunch today. Ghostwriter's good friend and co-worker Gigi, who is from the Philippines, gave her some wonderful home made food. First up, egg rolls with ground beef, carrots, and green papaya, which ghostwriter fried in some oil to a golden brown. Oh, they smelled delicious! To go with, ghostwriter made some stir fried vegetables. And finally there was some yummy sweet coconut rice that Gigi also made. Thank you Gigi for this delectable lunch!

Thanks Joey dog! And now we have an update on the weather. At 4PM it began snowing again.

Look at it coming down!

Maybe we'll get all snowed in and ghostwriter won't have to go to work because of the nine feet of snow piled on the roadways and we won't be able to get out for days and we can make snow tunnels and run and jump in the snow drifts and …

… woooooohooooo!

Finally—you know I can't resist—here are a few funnies I found.

  11. That meal looks delish!!! Gigi was nice to share.

We have been on snow watch all morning. Now it has started to lightly rain which is not good since it is only 23 degrees out there. Could make for a very slippery commute tonight:( We are hoping to see some snow soon, but once again it will be only a little bit:(
