About Time!

Hello loyal readers! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Our ghostwriter has been busy working lately and we've gotten behind on Writing The Daily Bone. So now I will catch you up on the latest news here at our house.

I had an epic battle with a stink bug that came into the house. I tried biting it, but it made a big stink about that! So I tried to step on it with my foot. It made an even bigger stink! Every time I knocked it down, it buzzed around and flew back to the wall and got stinkier and stinkier. So I barked at it as loudly as I could, and it just kept crawling up the wall.

Ghostwriter finally had to catch it and put it outside.

And STAY out!

Ghostwriter says she's been seeing lots of tiny baby stink bugs crawling around.

Do not say squee! Say Pee-yu-eeeeee!

Next we discovered some strange little insects on one of the milkweed plants in our front yard. These are called aphids. What weird little buggers!

They have a pair of little nozzle things called cornicles sticking out of their backs that ooze cornicle wax as a kind of self defense. Their mouths are like soda straws that suck out plant juice. Really! You just can't make this stuff up!

Apparently ladybugs will eat these aphid things. But so far we've only seen one ladybug!

Later, I helped Dad stow some stuff in the shed for the winter. I'm a very good supervisor!

There goes the garden hose!

Now the glass table top will fit right in!

I did a thorough inspection for mousies before he locked up, using my x-ray vision!

Turn the flash off, ghostwriter!

Now it's time for the Yum Yum Report with my esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel, Doggie Chief Inspector, comestibles division, and founder of the Yum Yum Coalition.

Thanks Chester. It was a very good day for yum yums today!

Potato latkes.

Reuben sandwich.

Doo Wapp  burger and fries!

Dad picked up some food from Fox's Deli! A local sensation! Here's a link, below. Check out the eat in menu and the funny names they have for the sandwiches and burgers.

Hey, don't forget to save some for me!

For our final story, here are a few pictures of our beautiful Autumn colors.

Good night!
