Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your compassionate doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
Yesterday it rained and rained and rained! Not just sprinkles. Not just drizzling. But full-on, flat-out, dogs-and-cats, pouring rain with high winds too. All day long! Non-stop! The clouds were zooming by like crazy.
In spite of the rain, or more likely because of it, lots of little birdies were eating at our feeders. We saw cardinals, mourning doves, house sparrows, house finches, gold finches, chickadees, and chipping sparrows, to name a few. Some of them looked pretty soaked, like this little one, below. He looks like a young one whose feathers aren’t all grown yet. It was cold out too. I hope he made it through the night! (Sorry it’s not more clear. The windows were wet.)
I took a peek out the window and he flew away.
Why can't the little birdie come inside our house and wait for the rain to stop?
I promise not to chase him. We'll be just like Snoopy and Woodstock.
that is th cutest ever photo of you resting on the hand :)
ReplyDeleteHi Chester, it's been very warm (hot) up here. A little above 80 with high humidity So we've been going out later in the day to avoid the direct sun. They said that we might get thundershowers - we're not too happy about thunder anything. We hope that you are all fine.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet pic of you at the end, Chester:) Happy Sunday. We think you got all our rain from last week. Hope you can get an awesome day like we have here today.

Uhh Vaks is not a fan of birdies. He would like to eat them :)

Even in heavy rain those birdies need their noms! Our hummer feeder gets visits even when the raindrops seem as big as the hummer, and likely heavier...but they do not wear hard hats...
