Greetings doggies and kitties and humans! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your curious doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
Do you see what I see?
That's right, it's June bug time! In the evening they come out of the ground and buzz around the trees. Ghostwriter has probably just earned the title of the street's most comical and crazy neighbor running around trying to catch this June bug for me to play with!
But isn't it the most perfect June bug you've ever seen?
Snarf!
When I was done playing with it, I gave it to my esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.
What's this?
What do you expect me to do with it?
If it's not a yum yum, I 'm not interested in it!
Oh, I almost forgot. Here are some of the flowers in our yard:
Clemetis with pink inchworm. |
Milkweed with assorted insects. |
Rose on trellis with daddy-long-legs spider. |
Arborvitae with white moth. |
Peony with ant. |
Lily buds with ants. |
Addendum: These little twin fawns were wandering outside the nursing home today.
Good night.
June Bug time starts in April here.

Good Night Moon.... as the book says...
Ciara would have snarfed that bug right down to her tummy. Lightning would have thrown it around a bit. Beautiful flowers - we will pass on those ugly ants. Mom just loves the milkweek.

What a fun assortment of bugs!
ReplyDelete...last night here, there was the biggest fattest spider growlmy has seen in side our den...she screeched, cause she didn't want it to hide and then bite one of us...or her...she is so scared of those arachnoids. Ticks belong to that genre too...no wonder she hates them, BOL! Well, not really, she had spiders in her bed a few times when she was a girl, Eeuuwwwww:(
What a lot of yummie bugs :)
