Hello food fans. This is The Daily Bone Yum Yum report and I’m your culinary doggie reporter Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel, Doggie Chief Inspector, comestibles division, and founder of the Yum Yum Coalition.
As you may have heard, I had a nasty stomach bug that put me out of commission for a week, and rendered me unable to eat much besides plain, boiled chicken and rice soup. I can now say that I am officially over it, almost done with my medicine, back to normal, and eating my healthy weight maintenance yum yum crunchy meatballs doggie food. I’m also way behind on my food reporting.
It’s officially grilling season! We start off with a pork chop that had been marinated in State Fair Spiedie Sauce, crisp spanakopitas, and a salad with Greek dressing. Amazing!
We like to keep things simple. So here is a plain grilled chicken with a bit of barbecue sauce, along with mixed steamed vegetables and basmati rice. Heavenly!
On a rainy day, we made this delectable stir fry which includes chicken that had been marinated in soy sauce, ginger and garlic, with snap peas, peppers, mushrooms, and Udon noodles, finished with oyster sauce.
For a quick dinner, we ordered pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms from our friendly neighborhood Pizza Corner. Still our favorite pizza place for 32 years!
Bone appetite!
Um, I'll have whatever he's having, please! |
