Pussycat Willows?

Greetings everybody! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your steadfast doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel along with my trustworthy colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

Something strange is going on in our yard. In a matter of days some big fuzzy things started appearing on the bushes by the compost pile.

They look like alien life forms, and seem to have an effect on the bees and flies who are swarming around them like crazy. Ghostwriter took lots of pictures of them and said they were pussy willows, or catkins. What? Kitty cats are growing on the bushes in our yard?

Just look at these crazy things! What are we going to do with all those kitty cats? There are hundreds of them!

Doesn't this look like it has a cat paw on one end?

This one must be a long-haired variety.

Hey neighbors! Do you want to adopt a kitty cat? They're free to good homes!

Can you believe it?

We think ghostwriter should plant some doggie willow bushes.

  7. Mom laughs everytime she sees pussy willows because it reminds her of the time her niece put a couple of those pussy willows up her nose - silly girl!!! It was a little scary at the time, but it all worked out well:)
