Hi everyone. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your gracious doggie host Joseph (Joey dog) Stephens. My easily distracted colleague Chester L. W. Stephens was too impatient to stand still for photos.
When ghostwriter got home from work a robin was hopping around in the front yard. Instead of flying away, it gave her the stink eye! We think it must have a nest somewhere nearby.
A few years ago, there was a robin's nest in the bushes right under the window. We got to watch the eggs hatch and the baby robins grow up.
I wonder which bush it's going to nest in this year?
Oh, and the grackle family built a nest in the tall arborvitae bush. See? There's Mr. Dungflinger sitting on the top and squawking at us. Ghostwriter is not very fond of grackles because they poop all over the cars, and have all the singing prowess of a squeaky hinge!
It's getting a bit late for a barking campaign against those dirty birdies, but tomorrow's another day.
