Stink Eye Robin

Hi everyone. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your gracious doggie host Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel. My easily distracted colleague Chester L. W. Spaniel was too impatient to stand still for photos.

When ghostwriter got home from work a robin was hopping around in the front yard. Instead of flying away, it gave her the stink eye! We think it must have a nest somewhere nearby.

A few years ago, there was a robin's nest in the bushes right under the window. We got to watch the eggs hatch and the baby robins grow up.

I wonder which bush it's going to nest in this year?

Oh, and the grackle family built a nest in the tall arborvitae bush. See? There's Mr. Dungflinger sitting on the top and squawking at us. Ghostwriter is not very fond of grackles because they poop all over the cars, and have all the singing prowess of a squeaky hinge!

It's getting a bit late for a barking campaign against those dirty birdies, but tomorrow's another day.

Today's TDB was brought to you by:

  4. We once had a birdie make her nest in the pretty wreath on our front door! Lots of fun to watch them little ones grow and thrive, but oh what a mess they made by the time they all flew awat!!! That wreath was history!
