Hello everybody. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your jovial doggie reporter Chester L. W. Stephens.
To all our friends in Blogville, ghostwriter wanted to say sorry for not making many comments on all your wonderful doggie and kitty blogs lately. She has been working crazy hours at the nursing home. Yesterday she went in at 3PM and didn't come home until 7AM today! She's pretty sleepy and grumpy today from that! But she's catching up on the fun at the Mayorz Marathon, and all the doggie blogs since then. In the meantime, I'm in charge of the content of The Daily Bone. You know what that means? I get to throw in some random extra stuff! Woooohooo!
Doesn't this one look like a hedgehog?
We snapped one in half to see the inner structure. Look at all the seeds!
Here's a close look at the individual tiny flower parts.
The sparrows have been busy eating the seeds and the bugs that are attracted to the flowers.
Dad did the cooking this weekend. Here we have crock pot pork roast, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and peas. Super yummy!
Our favorite miniature human, Ryan, came to visit. It seems impossible to get a good photo of Ryan and me. (It must be a time warp thing.)
Auntie Joanna brought over a bunch of toy trucks for Ryan to play with. He loves trucks! But when he's not here, I'm in charge of guarding them. I take this job very seriously.
We had some nice weather this weekend. All the birdies and squirrels were out in full force.

A pretty red cardinal.
This grackle was trying to steal the worms the robin caught.
We print out The Daily Bone for ghostwriter's nursing home patients to read. Instead of computer links and videos, we put in comic strips on a page called The Funny Bone Page. Here it is:
Sleepy time now. Good night.
