We've Got Snow!

Hello everybody! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Look look look lookie look! We have snow! I've been waiting a long time for some nice snow! Earlier this week, the yard looked like this:

There was a little bit of a sprinkling of snow that soon melted.

But then snow clouds moved in from across the Great Lakes.

Thank you snow clouds!

It was so bright this afternoon that I had to squint and make funny faces during our photo session.

My ghostwriter says she hopes the snow sticks around for a while now because it covers up all the mud and leaves and sticks that I track into the house.

OK, so I'll be sure to track in plenty of snow balls instead.

  4. We're rejoicing right with you Chester. It's nice not to have to get mud all over ourselves that then has to be washed off before we get in the house.

  5. We got SNOW too!!! And a good amount of it for a change. Mom is happy about the "no mud for a while" too, but she would rather have springtime. We have been outside most of the day having lots of fun. Some of our trees and shrubs are struggling with the weight of the snow, so we are hoping they will all be OK.

  11. Mr. Chester L. W. Spaniel your glad you have snow! Why I hate snow! It makes snowballs in my armpits then it sticks between my toes and I am not even going to say what it does to my tail end. You can have all my snow free of charge just come and get the dang snow.

  12. I don't mind snow, but have decided it had better wait until the third week of February, otherwise me and my sister might get in trouble driving home!

  16. Dear Chester,

What is your Yard now - snow or no-snow?

Regarding Ojo's raccoon skull, she chewed it up and knocked out a bunch of the teeth. So our people are not keeping it. However, our people are also geeks and have all sorts of stuff like that that they DO save! They have another raccoon skull that is in much better shape. (They thought it was this one that go found and chewed on somehow, but it wasn't!) And they have bits of birds and rats and squirrels, and also bird nests, and lots and lots of plant bits. Most of this is at our Momma C's workplace, except for most of the animal bones which are buried (unfortunately) out of the reach of us Dogs but where Nature can clean the bones off for us.

We do not know where the rest of the raccoon is. Perhaps Ojo will bring in another bit on another day.

    Happy winter-almost-spring!

    Licks,
    Cobi
