Dark And Dreary Days

Hello everybody. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your doggie reporter Chester L. W.  Spaniel.

Yesterday it rained non-stop all day. We're supposed to have unseasonably warm weather for the next week. How dreary and boring! I spent most of that day sleeping!

And sleeping!

I do have a few interesting things to report, though. Golden retriever pup Miss Gracie came to visit the nursing home where ghostwriter works. She's doing very well with her training to become a therapy doggie.

My John human (who is Ryan's Dad and the oldest of the four siblings) got his picture in Rochester Marathon. He's the one on the front left with the bright blue shirt.

Please visit the site to see some wonderful views of the City of Rochester NY and surrounding areas where many marathons were held.

Our family is getting ready for Jessy and Dan's wedding next month. My kitty cat cousins Maddie and Tibie were checking out their Joanna human's suitcase to make sure they fit inside.

Hey! When do I get to try on a suitcase?

Well, getting back to the main subject, all this rainy warm weather means there's lots of mud in my backyard.

Much to ghostwriter's dismay, I love trampling through the mud. But I also love to jump into the bath tub to play in the water and get the mud off my feet.

Dog Eat Doug

There aren't even any squirrels to chase!

Harumph!

So I guess I'll go back to sleep, and dream about snow.

Ghostwriter says, be careful what you wish for.

  1. There's a lot going on! My mom's parents are from NY so are so used to driving in the snow. They say everyone else in GA are a bunch of wimps when it snows out!

  2. That is so true about what peoples say when they slide in the snow. We also have mud and rain, we don't even have any nice green grass just a big mudhole so you can imagine what our kitchen floor looks like between us and the kittens running back and forth. stella rose

  5. We are not happy with all the rain either. Our pawrents won't let us play outside because it will tear up the grass and we will be muddy messes. We love that last picture and hope the snow returns soon.

  9. There is still hope for the sun, Chester. It finally reappeared here this afternoon after a slippery morning of fog ice. But our yard is very soggy and has lots of mudspots too. It is going to be quite the challenge keeping MIsty clean and dry for two weeks:(

  12. January is a tough month. The last picture cracked us up! Lady says people dedicated to Marathon's impress her. She is barely dedicated to walking us lol!
