Looking Back on 2016

Hello everyone. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

It's that time of year again. As the new year approaches, we take a look back on events. So without further ado, here we go!

JANUARY 2016

The Double Doggie Homeland Security System. Keeping the yard safe from miscreants. And barking is always free. Photo ops, however, are two yum yum doggie treats a session!

Beautiful moon rising.

FEBRUARY 2016

Hooray for snow!

Chester can play in the snow. I'd rather keep my feet dry.

Big flock of starlings visited us one day last February.

MARCH 2016

Enjoying a sunny day, with a spectacular sunset later.

Corned beef and cabbage. Yum!

APRIL 2016

Snow in April. Go figure!

Pardon me, but would you mind taking the twister seal off this suet cage?

No way! Bark bark bark!

MAY 2016

On patrol.

Joey's pear blossoms.

Fiery Spring sunset.

JUNE 2016

Great day for running!

Angel Miss Ginger showed up in the clouds.

Joey is losing weight and not eating well.

JULY 2016

Hummingbird moth.

Joey spent most of his time sleeping this month.

The next morning, he was gone …

AUGUST 2016

Chasing a squirrel.

And stay out!

I'm a good squirrel chaser!

SEPTEMBER 2016

Oma's 90th birthday.

I've been told I have eyes on the back of my head. Do you see them?

September moon.

OCTOBER 2016

Long shadows.

Fall colors.

Trick or treat.

NOVEMBER 2016

The leaves fell down all at once!

Early snow.

Ice sculpture.

DECEMBER 2016

Surprise visitor.

More snow.

A winter sky.

Christmas present.

It was a busy year!

Now, on a completely different note: you have an Oma?? Guess what, I had one too! And an Opa as well! Does this mean you're part Dutch??

  9. What a year you had. It's sad that Joey's gone, but at the same time I can't help but wag, wag, wag my tail when I imagine Joey and my angel sis Katie running around together in a better place.

  14. Chester....we just recently met you, and did not have the pleasure of knowing Joey in the furs, but through your loving eyes. We were glad to see the recap of Joey and you in the first of of 2016. What a handsome duo. We were glad to see the first 1/2 of 2016 was good and your dual adventures were excellent.
Hugs and kitty kisses and may 2017 be filled with healthy and tons of good food and most of all LOVE!
