Odds And Ends

Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your voluble doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

There's not much going on around here lately. In fact, it's been rather boring! I had to entertain myself by raiding the trash can in the bathroom, and playing keep-away with a used tissue. Ghostwriter wasn't very happy about that for some reason. Perhaps I should try some doggie yoga.

We haven't done much Christmas decorating and stuff because of ghostwriter's crazy work schedule. Hopefully we'll be able to visit our favorite miniature human, Ryan, and his parents Sunday. Meanwhile, I found a Christmas funny that I liked a lot:

Red and Rover

Joey dog and I were the spaniels singing on 12/19/2015. We had a green Christmas that year!

Now it's time for an update on the activities of the Evil Squirrel Cartel.

The Other Coast

I think the fat squirrel in that comic was in my yard today. Look how big it is! I didn't get to chase it. As soon as it saw ghostwriter taking pictures through the window, it ran away.

Ballard Street

Here's just about the funniest squirrel video I've seen in a long time!

I couldn't resist showing you this comic:

Guess who else loved to rumple up the rugs?

We all still really miss Joey dog!

Oh, and I found a  snowman funny for Frankie and Ernie!

The Other Coast

Here are a few wintry pictures from today.

I guess I'll just hang out with Dad and watch TV now.

Good night.

  1. We loved all those comics. Hanging out watching with your dad is an excellent way to spend your time. We do that all the time too.

  2. The squirrel and the slinky video is just hysterical! Angel Maggie used to do that to all the rugs. Mom called it nesting.

  3. Great report, Chester! That slinky thingy is axfurly a great idea!

  4. Ah, hanging on the sofa is super fun with the dad here too!

    xo Astro

  5. Love the funnies and I love the snowy photos. We're not getting any snow, so show us more please!

    Mara from Norway

  6. OMD Chester... you RAIDED the Trash and Scored a TISSUE... then played Keep Away with your Peeps.
THAT is a SUPER game... the Peeps LOVE it... they get SOOOOO excited... Screaming and Yelling and racing around.
OMD that Evil Snow freak that would not Throw a Stick... Not surprised. THEY are like that. WE know From Pawsonal experience.
OH... we miss Joey Dog's antics too.. we didn't know he was a Rug Rumpler.

  7. Love the comics and of course I love seeing Joey dog's face again! And yours too of course, Chester.

  8. We are not decorated much either. the tree is up but no ormaments yet! The peeps got to get it in gear
    Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel

  9. Merry Christmas, from one rug rumpler and trash raider to anofur!!

  10. What a beautiful sky photo at the end. We can only imagine how much you 3 are missing Joey.
He is surely looking over you all and sending angel kisses to your noses
    Hugs madi your bfff
PS not much decorations here either. My dad was fighting a malady not horrid but it had a hold of him and drained his energy. So no tree for us inside just the one outside decorated with silver balls

    Hugs madi your bfff

  11. Tissues make great toys, but the waste baskets here are all behind locked doors:(

What a clever way to trick that squirrel - great idea. And a great video too!!!
Wishing you a beautiful season, happy hearts, a joyful spirit, and the love of family and friends to surround you.

    Woos - Lightning and Misty

  12. We love the slinky idea! You made us laugh on the cartoons, we BOL'ed!

    Your Pals,

    Murphy & Stanley

  13. Hi hi hi! Ojo here! Wow, so pretty! And you have SNOW! Hurray! I am sorry you are bored. Keep away is a good game, though!

  14. I love keep away...though for some reason i don't play that game so much anymore...
That slinky is a swell idea! Got to get us some of those.
My unfurbro and boss boy are the rumplers here, they mess up the couch covers/protectors, BOL!
