Greetings loyal readers! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your quintessential doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.
I have a very important announcement! The days are getting longer! Yes indeed, it's not pitch black outside at 5PM any more. And today, we actually saw a bit of blue sky and sunshine.
We even got to see a sunset, instead of more dreary, gray clouds at the end of the day.
It feels like Spring is right around the corner!

This just in from our good friend Angus in North Carolina:
Thanks Chester. Hello everyone. You'll never believe what happened to my humans! Remember that big blizzard on the East Coast last weekend? Well, my humans were in the Bla-hamas when it hit, and they got stranded there for a few more days. Imagine having to put up with that blazing hot sun, and dry itchy sand, and salty water, with nothing to drink except those big fruity concoctions served in coconuts with paper umbrellas on them!
I'm sure these sea gulls weren't very exciting company!
Meanwhile, I was relaxing at a premium deluxe doggie spa and country club. Here I am socializing with my friends. I'm the one on the top right walking over to check out the ladies.
We had a wonderful party during that blizzard, and then we went out to play in the snow!
So my humans finally got home today, and they're all tired and sunburned. I, however, am quite rested and relaxed, and wondering when I'll get to see my doggie friends again.
Thank you for that interesting report Angus! We're glad you're all home safe and sound at this time!
And now it's time for our feature comic this week. I'm sure all you doggies out there will like it!
This one reminded me of our good friends Frankie and Ernie!
Bwahahahahahahahaha!
In local news, we had some more snow this morning. Here I am with my esteemed associate Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel patrolling the borders and measuring the snow depth. It's barely an inch!
But by mid day, it was already melting!
Why does it keep disappearing?
We're going to take a look back at this day in 2015. Wow! We had lots of snow then!
Well, don't worry. We still have two more months of winter here in Western NY. That's plenty of time to get a proper blizzard with eight feet of snow, white-out conditions, gale force winds, icy roads, and a wind chill factor of minus 20º! Don't put those snow boots away yet ghostwriter!
