Hello everybody. This is The Daily Bone, Princess Edition, and we're your observant doggie reporters Baby and Rosie Spaniel.
We have been exploring our back yard looking for new things that we pups have never seen before. The weather has turned warm and muggy. Our ghostwriter says this is perfect for mush-a-booms.
Mush-a-what?!!!
Here are some pictures of them:
GW went on to explain that these are a type of fungus that grows on the old tree roots from a big tree that got chopped down a few years before we pups arrived here. She also told us in no uncertain terms not to touch them just in case they were poisonous. Then she showed us some more of them—apparently there are many different kinds—that she called dead man's fingers.
Yipes!
I guess we'll leave those alone!
Moving on, GW showed us something she spied up in the sky as she was driving to the grocery store today. You see it? It's the big floaty thing that looks like a whale! It's called a blimp.
A few days ago while she was trimming some bushes in the back yard, she caught something called a dragon fly.
What??? Now we pups are completely confused! There are dragons flying around our yard? The world around us seems to have no end of weird and crazy things for us to learn about.
I bet you know what we're going to do next …
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz |
Well, that's how our puppy minds process all the new things we see!
Note from GW: yesterday I allowed the pups to come upstairs while I worked on my computer in my office. I thought I could trust them not to pick up and play with things that are not for doggies. Well, that was a fail!
Hi friends, Ojo here! Don't eat those mushawhat thingies! They are bad bad bad! Also, you do have very cute faces. Also, I hope you had a good nap!
ReplyDeleteMom thinks mushrooms are as beautiful as any flower and those dead man's fingers are sure interesting. Oopsies happen and there are two of you to talk each other into it☺
ReplyDeleteThose are cool mushrooms you found. It's a good thing you two are so cute. Your mom couldn't possibly be mad at you for a little play time with a rug. BOL!
ReplyDeleteGosh those mushrooms at the start of the post look a bit like some of the shells I saw on the beach the other day.
ReplyDeleteGail tells me that no human would ever put up with puppy behaviour were we not so cute - the whole domestic dog species would go extinct. Eeek!
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
Those belong to a man but I don't think they are fingers.
ReplyDeleteWe love dragonflies - we haven't caught one and we don't snap at them. The other night when we were talking to the neighbours, there were at least a dozen circling us! We are much older and still can't be trusted! Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteBaby and Rosie OMDs dead man fingers. Wow what a perfect name.
ReplyDeleteGW found a beautiful dragon fly.
Sorry GW but I might have giggled a bit a "thought I could trust them". Such a smart pair of Princesses and yes good thing they are cute x 87
