Hello. This is The Daily Bone, Princess Edition, and we're your adventurous puppy reporters Rosie and Baby Spaniel.
We've had a busy week around here. One minute it's snowing, and the next it's raining, or windy, or all three together. There have been lots of different birdies at the feeders, or singing in the trees, or flying over in big flocks too. We hardly know where to start this report! Here are some pictures, in no particular order (because our ghostwriter can't even remember what order they're in!)
|
Blue sky with moon |
|
Gray sky with storm clouds |
|
Geese flying over |
|
Grackles |
|
Cardinal and Dove |
|
Fresh snow again |
|
Crazy icicles |
|
Sunset snow squall |
|
Evil Squirrel |
We can assure you that we continue to chase those crummy squirrels out of our yard. Oh, and we've also just learned how to catch the few ants that seem to want to come visit us indoors. On top of all that we keep pretty active romping and playing.
|
Tug-O-War |
We follow our humans everywhere. Well, almost everywhere.
|
Oh, so you're finally done in the bathroom? |
And we take lots of sleep breaks to recharge our super power puppy batteries. See you later!
Note from ghostwriter:
I'm sorry we've gotten very behind with our blogging, both visiting our friends and writing The Daily Bone (Princess and Heavenly Editions.) Those two pups keep us crazy busy! Hopefully we'll catch up soon.
I was very surprised, and honored, to see Rosie and Baby featured on our good friend Foley's blog as the Pups of the Week! (link below.) It will probably be some time before our two puppy girlies reach Chester's level of professional journalism. Thank you for the encouragement!

Hi! |
Thank you for including the link. You two sure are cute. I love seeing your faces. Cuteness helps when you are an investigative reporter.

ReplyDeleteRosie and Baby..good for you keeping GW and Dad on their toes making sure they follow all the house rules left by Chester (hey Chester). Well done giving that evil upside down rodent a piece of your minds.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww what a darling photo of you two in your bed.
Hugs to all and tell the staff I know one new pet is full time work I cannot imagine 2. Thank goodness you have a common sense house....same # of humans as pups.
Keep up the good work.
Hugs Cecilia
Such beautiful nature photos and we don't like the squirrels any more than you do, Baby and Rosie! Love the two of you sleeping together♥
ReplyDeleteYou two girls sure are keeping busy. We were happy to see we finally got some decent snow this past week but it's almost all gone already. Being puppies is tough work so we understand why you need your naps, but you might want to give Ghostwriter and your dad a little time for naps of their own. BOL!
ReplyDeleteOur weather has been similar but we still have all the snow. Ant hunting looks like fun. Lee and Phod (whose Lady is also always behind so she understands)
ReplyDeleteHi little ones ~ you get cuter every day, and we can certainly imagine how you're keeping the GW on
ReplyDeleteher "tippy toes". And we also imagine Chester is sending you lots of good (? or mischievous) counsel in your puppy dreams each night ... pretty soon your yard will be full of pretty flowers and you'll likely be on squirrel-watch day in and out, so rest up now and get ready! Lots of work, and fun is just around the corner.
Hi Rosie and Baby,
ReplyDeleteGail and I think you two pups are doing a wonderful job developing your reporting skills - all that wildlife and weather (loving the crazy icicles) and chasing around. No wonder you sometimes need to take a break and recharge your puppy batteries.
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
I have smiled through your entire post - I love the update, and I am so glad I was able to catch on your news - You two are growing up way too quick, and I know your Ghost Writer is enjoying every single minute of the fun and mischief as you learn about the world around you, even when it includes an evil squirrel! 🥰
ReplyDeletePals - the day you picked for the snow be gone contest has been taken. If I don't hear from you, we will give you the following day. Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteWhat fun times you gals are having...though we think/know that your pawrents might not think all you do is fun for them, BOL!
ReplyDeleteThat squirrel is truly going to get that seed feeder off the line, and then gobble up all the seeds. They are SO crafty and naughty!
We haven't seen many of them since the one went into the drainpipe. Our current bane is all the starlings. We don't seem to have grackles come into our yard.
We are silly sometimes and try to scare off the big crows or vultures that fly around here sometimes...like we can jump into the sky and nab them. Yup, we can dream!
Enjoy the springtime...when your snow goes away; ours has all melted now, and we are getting wet with rain.
