Greetings friends and fans. This is The Daily Bone, Princess Edition, and we are your puppy reporters Rosie and Baby Spaniel.
As you can see, it's snowing here in our back yard. This morning it looked like this for a brief minute:
But that was all the pretty colors the sky had to show us! It soon turned to this
And then the snow came.
It's not that we dislike snow. But this stuff was mixed with rain, which we princess pups are not too fond of. Blah! Our ghostwriter says this is typical Western New York weather for the month of March.
Anyway, on to other news. We noticed that there's been a lot of birdie seed shells scattered all along the back corners and shelves of the garage. We puppies have never met any mousies so far in our lives, but ghostwriter said that this was definitely a mousie type mess. She baited a two mousie traps one night, and placed them on a shelf where we pups could not reach. The next morning, one trap was entirely missing! And the second trap held an actual mousie!
(We kept this picture small in case any of you might be a bit squeamish.) We wish we could have met this mousie on better terms, but we were told mousies can carry ticks and fleas and other diseases. We got to take a brief sniff of it before it was tossed into the trash can. However, the second trap is still missing! We searched all over the garage and haven't found it yet. We'll keep searching with our sharp puppy noses for the missing trap and whatever's caught in it. It can't have gone too far!
We almost forgot! A few days ago we saw our first spring flowers!
There are lots of birdies around too! Our favorites are these two robins. They're so funny! They hop along a few feet away from each other, and then they suddenly fly up and start fighting! They're not very afraid of us doggies either. Sometimes they sit on the fence or in the pear tree not ten feet away and give us the stink eye. Crazy birdies!
Well, that's all for today.
Yeah. Sleepy time!
Now, our angels Chester L. W. Spaniel and Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel would like to show you what our WNY weather was like back in March of 2014. Wow! They had a lot of snow! Check out this link:
