Mr. Bones Daily

Hello everyone! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your trusty doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Halloween has come and gone. Unfortunately, we didn't get many trick-or-treaters that night because it rained. Blah! Anyway, Mr. Bones Daily and his partner Ossy (aka Os Canis) did their one day of work for the year by pretending to be scary.

In the past few days, they've retired back to the garage. So I decided to do an interview.

Hi guys! Are you recovered from your one day of work? What are your plans for the rest of the year? They didn't have much to say, except that they were glad to be resting up from all the Halloween excitement, and were kind of bored stiff now.

Well, you know, I said, there is something I think you might help with. Dad has been tinkering with putting together a snow plow attachment for his riding lawn mower. I mean, you spend all the rest of the year hanging around in Dad's workshop, I would think you might have picked up some knowledge on how to fix things.

"Who me?" Mr. Bones replied. "I can't do that! I'm just a bone head!"

More like a lazy bones, I think! So I sent them both outside to the back yard to see if they could scare the squirrels away.

Knock 'em dead guys!

Well, that's a nope!

Sheesh! It seems like nobody wants to work these days. So it's back to Dad's shop for Mr. Bones Daily to spend the rest of the year on rigorous guard duty. More like rigor mortis, I say.

Hey, I heard that.

We would like to give a big thank you to Ann and June at Zoolatry for featuring our blog, along with our friends Millie and Walter. Please click on the link below to see.

  1. We love your interview with Mr. Bones, Chester. Wasn't it nice of June and her mom to spotlight us together? She didn't even know we live so close to each other. Maybe someday we could have a get together and we could both do a blog post about that.

  2. You sure had fun poking fun at those boneheads, Chester! BOL!!
Miss Ann sure made a nice post today about you and Walter & Millie!

  3. Great interview. Certainly tickled Gail's funny bone. She says if your skeletons won't work then perhaps they could go to the bar, and order a pint of beer and a mop...

  4. We look forward to seeing Mr Bones and Ossy every year! When you dad is finished with his snow plow invention, can you please send him to our house, Chester. This sounds like a winner of an idea to us!

  5. My goodness, are you trying out for your own Netflix Comedy Hour ... so many bone-tickling jokes we had to read your report twice to be sure we didn't miss any! Good job, Chester (and thanks for joining us over at Zoolatry, we loved having you visit).

  6. Lazy bones is right, those bone heads can't do much of anything, can they? BOL

We loved reading about you yesterday on Miss Ann and Junie's blog....they sure are good friends, aren't they??

  7. Enjoyed all of this . You are so handsome!

  8. Dear Chester
It is too bad dem boney skeletons weren't able to put squirrels on the run way far away from you compound.
    Hugs Cecilia

  9. Chester! Furrst, I apologise for being LATE (blame our Peep) and second, Mr Bones and Ossy are WONDERFUL! our Mom laughed so hard, coffee came out her nose! We LOVE it when that happens! Keep on being AWESOME! Purrs Marv

  10. Hi friend, it is good to see you! But those things look very scary! BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK!!!! (We hope you're well!)
