Mr. Bones Daily

Hello everyone! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your trusty doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Halloween has come and gone. Unfortunately, we didn't get many trick-or-treaters that night because it rained. Blah! Anyway, Mr. Bones Daily and his partner Ossy (aka Os Canis) did their one day of work for the year by pretending to be scary.

Boo!

In the past few days, they've retired back to the garage. So I decided to do an interview.

Hi guys! Are you recovered from your one day of work? What are your plans for the rest of the year? They didn't have much to say, except that they were glad to be resting up from all the Halloween excitement, and were kind of bored stiff now.

Well, you know, I said, there is something I think you might help with. Dad has been tinkering with putting together a snow plow attachment for his riding lawn mower. I mean, you spend all the rest of the year hanging around in Dad's workshop, I would think you might have picked up some knowledge on how to fix things.

"Who me?" Mr. Bones replied. "I can't do that! I'm just a bone head!"

More like a lazy bones, I think! So I sent them both outside to the back yard to see if they could scare the squirrels away.

Knock 'em dead guys!

Well, that's a nope!

Sheesh! It seems like nobody wants to work these days. So it's back to Dad's shop for Mr. Bones Daily to spend the rest of the year on rigorous guard duty. More like rigor mortis, I say.

Hey, I heard that.

We would like to give a big thank you to Ann and June at Zoolatry for featuring our blog, along with our friends Millie and Walter. Please click on the link below to see.

  1. We love your interview with Mr. Bones, Chester. Wasn't it nice of June and her mom to spotlight us together? She didn't even know we live so close to each other. Maybe someday we could have a get together and we could both do a blog post about that.

  3. Great interview. Certainly tickled Gail's funny bone. She says if your skeletons won't work then perhaps they could go to the bar, and order a pint of beer and a mop...
    Toodle-oo!

  5. My goodness, are you trying out for your own Netflix Comedy Hour ... so many bone-tickling jokes we had to read your report twice to be sure we didn't miss any! Good job, Chester (and thanks for joining us over at Zoolatry, we loved having you visit).
