Snow?

Hello. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your diligent doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Here's a picture of our very first snowfall of the year:

It was just some big, sloppy snowflakes mixed in with some rain. My ghostwriter is already in her annual winter denial mode. She says it's not really winter until we have a big blizzard, or Christmas, whichever comes first. She also says we still need to have Indian Summer. (Yeah, GW really hates winter!)

It's been really windy too. But that's not so bad. The wind blew some beautiful leaves into our yard.

We caught another glimpse of that little "baby" squirrel. One of our readers commented that this was probably not a baby, but a red squirrel. After doing a bit of research, we discovered she was right.

It certainly is feisty and fast! Our usual gray squirrels whom we see daily are downright lethargic compared to the little red squirrel.

Hey, who are you calling lethargic?

If the shoe fits, wear it.

In other news, we're supposed to have a lunar eclipse tonight. Actually it will occur around 3am here in WNY. We'll be lucky if the clouds clear up enough to see anything!

But wait a minute. Who is actually awake at that time? Certainly not me!

Good night!

  1. We know it must be winter finally because the guys that plow our driveway just put in our markers today! Our pawrents are happy we haven't gotten much snow yet, too. You found lot of pretty leaves around your house. We like those pretty red ones.

  2. I hope you like the snow. We think it is too early for winter, but we always feel that way.

  3. The man who talks about weather said you might just get your snow very, very soon ... like it or not! To likely cover up your pretty autumn leaves ... nitey-nite Chester!

  4. Your autumn leaves are always displayed so beautifully. We can't be ready for snow yet. Mom still has too many leaves to rake and some of them haven't even fallen off the trees yet!

  8. We had snow the other day, too...but we were not sad to see it gone by the afternoon...right now though, its 22F here...and sometimes petcretary is still up at the time that eclipse was 'on'...second shift has made a night owl out of her, LOL!

Those leaves with the berries make a pretty image. One of the bright things/sights that make fall so pretty.
