Greetings everyone. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.
Sorry we haven't been around much lately. My ghostwriter has been working a lot at the nursing home. They finally were able to find some new nurses to hire, and they're in orientation now, so hopefully things will ease up in the schedule soon. Meanwhile, we've been looking for the many amazing things in my yard, both down on the ground, and up in the sky!

In other news, the Evil Squirrel Cartel has been extra busy lately. We often see two or three of them eating birdie seeds that fall from the feeders. They run away when I go out! But today we found this:
Some rotten squirrel chewed a hole in our pumpkin!
|
Can you believe it? |
|
Who me? I wouldn't do that! |
|
Yeah, right! |
Well, the days are getting shorter. It's dark by 5pm now. I guess I'll have to deal with those squirrels tomorrow. Good night!
Did that squirrel steal all the pumpkin seeds inside? Or was he looking for a hiding spot? They sure are a nuisance.

Thank you for sharing your yard's beauty with us. It would be nice if your mom didn't ahve to work so much. We look forward to hear from her.
ReplyDeleteSquirrels have no respect for property that belongs to others! We love all of your beautiful autumn nature, Chester.
ReplyDeleteChester, please tell your humom we so enjoyed her (your?) collection of wonderful autumn photos ... and of course, YOUR commentary ... now, can we snuggle with you for that sofa-nap? Looks so cozy ...
ReplyDeleteYou found lots of beautiful things around your yard, except for those pesty squirrels though. We're glad to hear that your mom won't have to be working as hard with the new nurses on the job.
ReplyDeleteHidey Ho Chester my very favorite Ace reporter!!
ReplyDeleteI love the photos or your world. Especially the clouds and sun peeping thru.
We just noticed the back side of our pumpkin has a HOLE in it. Your squirrels southern cousins have been busy,
Hugs Cecilia
We always love peeking into your neighborhood Chester, you see the most beautiful nature...and sneakiest squirrels!

Hmmm, now we know why the gourds we planted never stood a chance!
ReplyDeleteHope your GW can get some quality time off, soon!
Lots of beauty around us, even in the fall season.
That pumpkin must've been pretty delicious! Those guys really went for it!
ReplyDeleteLove and licks,
Cupcake
Hello Friend! Your photos are perfect for the season! The only thing that isn't perfect is that Evil Squirrel Cartel making a zombie out of your pumpkin! But I know when "the time" is right, you'll get them back!!
ReplyDeleteTake care friend, and I hope your Ghostwriter is back to spending more time on the couch with you very, very soon!! ❤❤
Hi Chester! (Marv waves wildly) We are glad to see you out and about! Thanks for the update on your yard! And those squirrels...Kozmo got one last week and boy did she/he ever set a a ruckus! Mom came running outside to see if us guys (me and Kozmo) were having a fight! And she scared Koz and he dropped the squirrel. Boy did that guy run. We can't leave the punkins outside here, it is bear season. They stole quite a few along the street just before Halloween, The ones they left behind had holes in them, sort of like yours. We are wishing you and your family a marvellously happy week!
ReplyDeleteHi friend, Ojo here! You have such a pawesome yard! I think that pumpkin looks like squirrel bait! You should lay a trap!
