Snow For Us

Hello everybody. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your faithful doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

As you can see, we have snow! Within a couple days all the colorful autumn leaves dropped from the trees and got covered in whiteness. I don't mind the snow. It's good for running in.

Check this out: I've been practicing all my life to do a one-ear-only-flip! Wow!

But my ghostwriter thinks we were gyped! She says it's too soon for snow like this. We should still have some nice autumn weather with temperatures in the 60's. Normally she doesn't acknowledge winter has arrived until the first big snowfall, or Christmas, whichever comes first. Now she has to admit winter is here and it's not even Thanksgiving yet! I say quit sulking and let's take a walk!

It did make for a few pretty pictures.

You see? It's not all that bad.

I say, let it snow!

(Then you won't have to rake up those fallen leaves until Spring.)

  1. Our Mom felt the same way about our snow - TOO early. It's all gone now, but it has certainly been a cold November. We were lucky to get most of the leaves scooped up before the first snowfall. But Mom raked some that had fallen in the front yard. Three of our trees are still half full of leaves, so hopefully they will fall before the next snow.

You did get some very pretty photos, and that ear flip is quite impressive, Chester.

  2. Hello New Friend! I'm not sure how I ended up here, but it's nice to meet you! It's been a fun visit, reading a few of your posts and getting to know you! Our dogs really loved the snow too, and I didn't mind it, but I do mind all the mud that it left behind! :-) I hope you have a good Thanksgiving!!

  3. I am soooo jealous!!! I would looooves to do some snow zoomies! Can I come overs and chase somethings??? the tree rats here are gettin' old...sigh.

  4. My mom wasn't overly thrilled about the snow either, Chester. She wanted to finish raking up the leaves first!
Everything looks better with snow, right!

  5. SNOW!!! Already????
I say Chester, you've got pawsome RACING ear flappage going on there!

  6. Your Snow is beautiful to look at.
Our yard to full of leaves too.
Mitzie and I can come run in your snow.
    Happy Thanksgiving

  7. Chester WELL done indeed on the one flying ear. That takes great dexterity and concentration.
The first photo of the berries against the snow should be on a greeting card. It is lovely

  8. We sure have been enjoying this snow although it's shrinking fast. Our pawrents prefer a little snow on the ground so there isn't as much mud in the yard.

  9. LOVE the berries and the snow!! So pretty. We got a small amount but supposed to get a mix of rain & snow for Thanksgiving - ugh

  10. Oh my goodness! Those red berries with snow on them are gorgeous. They look like a Christmas card photo.

  11. Your snow is beautiful, C. And that one-ear-flip is a masterpiece! Well done, buddy.

    Love and licks,

  12. I was gonna bark the same thing about the red berries and snow photos! Christmas cards!! Three more sleeps and it will all feel right!

  13. Chester, we love coming for your reports. We are too surprised with seeing snow this early in the season. You look to be having so much fun in it. Good idea if it keeps snowing then we don't have to rake leaves until spring. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

  14. Chester thank GW for the Fresh Cranberry recipe...I'm copying and pasting now.
Hugs and May you get your fair share of Turkey tomorrow

  15. That is the perfect amount of snow. Enough to play in but not enough to make you totally wet.

  16. Oh, those berries with the snow on them: love that one! I must admit I am not ready for snow yet. Perhaps some for Christmas and that is it!

  17. Hi hi hi! Ojo here! SNOW!!!!!! You are so LUCKY!! I wish we had snow! Will you send me some???? And yes, snow is very good for covering things like leaves and dog poop, so they can be ignored until later!

  18. Petcretary loved that pic without he red berries on the whole bush, topped with snow caps. So pretty!

We had about 6 inches of snow when we got up on Monday, November 26th. Now it is ALL gone! I, Dalton sure hope it stays away...
