Solstice

Good evening friends and fans! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your faithful doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Today is the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere! The sun came up at 7:40AM and went down at 4:41PM.

Happy Solstice!

May your squirrels slumber and your doggie bowl be full!

  3. You must live a bit further south than we do: our sun didn't come up until past 9.30am! And then it didn't show its face until midday and left again just after 3.30pm.

  14. I cannot wait for the evenings to stay light almost until the petcretary comes home from work...like on June 21st...here its light until about 1015 that longest day...cause we actually should be in the central time zone...but nope we are in the eastern time zone. Even the UP is, Wow!
But I know the petcretary hates the dark mornings even worse. Come longer days, hurry up!
