Sorry Charlie

Greetings loyal readers. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your pertinacious doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel along with my astute associate Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

We wanted to say sorry to our good friend Charlie from Australia about our lack of winter snow. It has been a totally strange winter this year. We haven't had more than an inch of snow at a time and it all melted within a day or two. We looked back at our photos from last February, and there was hardly a day when we didn't have gigantic snow drifts and piles, and monster icicles hanging off the roof. Here are some pictures from February 2, 2015:

Today I looked out and saw green grass and mourning doves.

Take a look at this bright sun from this afternoon!

We had some clouds moving in by sunset. But the forecast says it's supposed to rain and then be almost 60Âș tomorrow!

Ghostwriter says we should be thankful we haven't had a major snow fall this season. She remembers last winter and driving home from work at night through several blizzards and white-outs. Sometimes the snow plows didn't bother to clear the roads at that time of night, and she had to crawl home at 20mph hoping she didn't slide into a ditch. Poor Dad had to shovel the walk and the driveway almost every day!

Oh, and speaking about Dad, it's his birthday today! (Same day as Groundhog Day.)

We sang Happy Birthday in Doggish. Then we got Dad some pizza and chicken wings for lunch!

Auntie Linda, Uncle David, and Angus "picked" out this card just for him! (Get it?)

Charlie was also asking about our Angel Miss Ginger. We were lucky to find a picture of our girlie doggies Charisma (left) and Ginger (right) along with Joey dog as a puppy (middle.)

And now it's time for bed! Good night! (We're going to dream about snow.)

  1. Crikey ..... Don't be sorry ..... it's not your fault!! It's really weird though, aye, that you could have THAT much snow one year and then almost none the next? I s'pose your Dad doesn't miss all that shovellin'. I remember those giant icicles.
Oh ..... how cute does the Joey look sitting there all bright and bushy tailed with his two older siblings looking after him. I bet he gave 'em a hard time. Thanks for the snow pics from last year. That first one is so pretty. Winters not over yet though, aye, so just maybe there'll be some more.
