More Big Fat Squirrels

Hello everyone! This is The Daily Bone and I'm your pleasantly plump doggie commentator
Chester L. W. Spaniel.

Wow! There are a lot of great words in the thesaurus that mean fat. And you know that I love to learn new vocabulary words. As we've been reporting lately, the local Evil Squirrel Cartel has been consuming a hearty smorgasbord of nuts, berries, and healthy helpings of birdie seeds whenever they can get them. We have also observed that somebody in the neighborhood has been feeding them leftover dinner rolls! With the mild winter weather lately, they haven't had to use up the stores of body fat they amassed over the summer. They have become pudgy, ponderous, potbellied, and portly. Oh and here's a good word I've never heard before: embonpoint which means tubby, stout, well-padded, and obese. (I could go on for hours!) A prime example of a corpulent squirrel is Fatty White-ears (below) sitting under the freshly filled birdie feeder.

I am waiting for the seeds to fall out of the feeder. It's just that simple, you know.

Cartoonist Steve Boreland has been featuring the continuing saga of a hefty group of scurious carolinensis in Little Dog Lost.

However, it seems Rover has his local Evil Squirrel Cartel in tip top shape.

Hmmmm …

Where'd he go?

Hehehehehe…

Crummy squirrel!

  8. Chester, I would say with all the squirrel chasing you are definitely not plump. Plus, you are keeping the squirrels fit as well. Good job my friend.
