Saturday With Joey Dog

Greetings food fans, fellow wise old doggies, and loyal readers. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your droll doggie reporter Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

It was our favorite miniature human's third birthday Thursday. Happy birthday Ryan!

And now, I'm going to present a series of photos of my ditzy colleague Chester L. W Spaniel, and you erudite elder doggies out there tell me what they mean.

Answer: dum dum hasn't figured out that chasing snowballs is not a fruitful endeavor! The yum yum doggie treats are in ghostwriter's right coat pocket. If you would be so kind as to hand them over now. A bit of remuneration is in order for standing out in this cold, soggy slop!

The snow is turning into slush, as you can see. There were lots of birdies in the treetops soaking up the evening sunshine. Some of them were singing too.

House finch.

Robin and starlings.

We have almost a full moon rising tonight. That means Chester is out sitting in the yard and howling. I'll just take this opportunity to have a nice, peaceful nap!

Oh, I almost forgot my food report. As you can see, it's nothing much new. I think humans are creatures of habit!

Western omelet with whole wheat toast.

Stir fry with baby bok choy and udon noodles.

Ham, baked sweet potato, steamed vegetables.

Now, where was I?

Oh, one more thing. Ghostwriter had to go to take care of our dear Oma Thursday and didn't get home till this afternoon. She's trying to catch up on all of our good Blogville friends. She says she's going to look at as many as she can, but might not comment on all of them. Oma is on the mend now.

  1. Happy Belated Birthday to Ryan - what a handsome boy!!!

We think any kind of action in the snow has to be fun. We had another day of temps in the 70s but we hear there is a storm a-brewing for Tuesday. Mom says it is going to be rain but we are hoping she is wrong.

  3. We're glad Oma is on the mend. Mom and Dad worry so - Mom's Dad is 95 and in declining health and Dsd's Grandma's are both having some difficulties. We are lucky to have family and want them to be well. You had some GREAT foodables there. Hugs

I hope your Oma will keep on mending well, sending some POTP along her way to help:)

Our snow is totally gone the temps are in the low 50's and upper 40's. We had a bad wind storm Friday evening, lost power and lots of trees down around here. We sure were thankfur to have our generator!
