Odds and Ends Tuesday

Greetings ladies and gentlemen, doggies and kitties. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your energetic doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel along with my esteemed colleague Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

Ghostwriter had some minor surgery to her right hand and so is having trouble taking good photos. Yesterday she couldn't even type because she said her fingers felt like big fat sausages from the lidocaine. (She had something called a trigger finger—no, it's not what you think—and one finger would click and clunk and get all stiff and painful.) So we doggies are going to give you updates on some of our friends.

Here's our good friend Angus who was stuck in the slammer while his humans went on a Jamaican vacation without him!

Our Florida correspondent Miss Charlee is relaxing by the window of her house. She reports there has been no suspicious activity by the local IBIS terror group. But check out this angry, angry, alien, weirdo duck!

Perhaps her associate Special Agent Frankie, an Indian Ringneck, should conduct an investigation.

Our friend Maddie cat continues to observe (with incredulity) her human's crazy food combinations. Here a marshmallow peep sits atop some kind of beverage. She cannot help but notice how much this particular peep looks like Special Agent Frankie.

Oh, and our favorite miniature human, Ryan, made the intergalactic journey to our house last Sunday. He has gotten quite tall now, and quite mischievous too!

He was full of energy, and ran all around the house and our back yard. We doggies followed him everywhere to make sure he didn't get hurt. We showed him all the flowers and trees, and the compost pile, and pointed out birdies, and cars, and trucks, and bushes, and everything. Here we are after he went home:

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
