Hello friends and fans. This is The Daily Bone, Princess Edition, and we're your diligent doggie reporters Baby and Rosie Spaniel.
Western New York weather is nothing if not changeable! One day it's bright and sunny, and the next is cloudy and rainy. We can't even remember what day was what. A few days ago we enjoyed watching the bright sky with the "popcorn" clouds that came and went.
Ahhh! This is the life! |
But today, it was gray, dreary, and threatening to rain. After dinner, it suddenly started clearing up!
Here comes the sun! Hooray! Ten minutes later … blah! No sunset for us!
But all is not lost. We have some bright and cheerful white flowers and leaves to show you! This first flower is from a hosta plant that ghostwriter took from her mom's (Oma's) garden, almost forty years ago.
It seems most of the plants in our yard are way older than we pups can even imagine! On that thought, we're going to sleep. Good night!
Ghostwriter here. On those last rainy days, I finished a couple more puzzles. I love the pictures of the cute dogs!
We had some unexpected sad news this week. One of our sweet kitty friends crossed the rainbow bridge.
And another one of our long time good friends, Hailey is gravely ill.
We're sending lots of hugs, prayers, and POTP to their families.
At least your weather is changing. We seem to be stuck on HOT and humid - very HOT and humid. It seems to go on forever.
ReplyDeletePretty white flowers and lovely puzzles.
We were sad to hear about Bonham, and we are hoping for the best for sweet Hailey.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
You two are so cute enjoying the sun on your patio. We too have been frustrated by the ever-changing weather here, but you have to get out and enjoy it while you can. It's sad to hear about our friends that have crossed the Bridge or are hurting right now. We have our paws crossed for them and their families. Our mom is enjoying her puzzles too.
ReplyDeleteHi Rosy and Baby,
ReplyDeleteAnother superb report. Your weather and your white flowers look remarkably similar to what we encounter here in Scotland at this time of year.
Toodle-oo!
Nobby.
Your skies and flowers are just beautiful, girls, and my mom is always working on a puzzle too. She keeps telling herself that reading a book might be nice but the puzzles always seem to win out. My paws are crossed for Hailey.
ReplyDeleteI can say with 200% certainty Angels Chester and Joey are smiling down on you two with pride.
ReplyDeleteI love you on the patio
Hugs Cecilia
What beautiful skies and MD...we just adore your flowers!!!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
For two puppieis you have done a fantastic job with the gardens
ReplyDeleteWe love popcorn clouds, although they may make us a little hungry. Those are beautiful flowers. GW's puzzles must have gotten into Lady's head because she was dreaming about doing them a few nights ago.
ReplyDeleteI have some Snow on the Mountain in my yard. I didn't know that's what it was called.
ReplyDeleteHi Baby and Rosie! I found myself in your GW's puzzles! :) Most importantly, I'm so sorry for your loss. Sending my big hugs...

Hi Rosie and Baby, so sorry to read Bonham has crossed the rainbow bridge and that Hailey is so unwell. So many beautiful flowers on your garden. Over here in the UK we're experiencing an unexpected heatwave, after we thought summer was over for this year xxx
ReplyDeleteHi there! Thank you for stopping by! To answer/respond, those collies aren’t shaved, they are the smooth coated variety. (I should write a new post about it) When I was little, before collies captured my heart, I used to love cocker spaniels. Mainly because of two animated films, Lady & the Tramp and Scruffy. I used to draw pictures of cocker spaniels and wanted one “some day.” Yours are adorable!
