Our Oma

Hello everybody. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your wistful doggie reporter Chester L. W. Spaniel.

We're so glad all of our blogger friends have been having some good, fun times enjoying their Christmas celebrations. Your blogs have been helping us keep some Christmas cheer in this sad time since our Oma passed away December 13 at age 95.

All of my human family came here to visit, and it was great to see everyone, although we wished Oma could have been with us. We did our Christmas dinner on December 19, since my ghostwriter had to work through the whole Christmas weekend.

The weather out here in WNY has not been frightful for a change. We had a couple days of snow, but it soon melted.

We didn't have a Christmas tree in my house, but outside, on the snowy days, the trees decorated themselves.

Oh oh oh oh! I almost forgot! I got a new squeaky toy for Christmas!

  1. Oh Chester! We're so sorry to hear of your Oma's passing. She had a beautiful smile and lived a very long life. Our paws are crossed and we send warm hugs to all your family.

BTW we also had a Carolina Wren with us this summer. We're not sure if there were more than one or if they maybe had a nest but we also were alerted to it by it's loud and clear call. We hope it comes back next year.

On this New Year, we wish that you and your peeps have a superb January, a dazzling February, a Peaceful March, an anxiety-free April, a sensational May, and joy that keeps going from June to November, and then round off with an upbeat December .

  3. Oh, we are so sorry that Oma went to heaven...its sad for you but joyful for her. If you send me her real name, Petcretary will make a memento card in her honor...or we can just call it 'Oma'.
Sending love and hugs at this time to comfort you, I know you must miss her terribly, esp your GW.

Looks like you had a good Christmas, Chester! We did surgery on our new stuffies...did you?!

Petcretary had a string of days off, including the whole of Christmas weekend...but then of course she has to work New Years...that how it goes in health care...I guess you know it too well...

We had *some* snow but its mostly gone now...and we had a bunch of rainy days and fog, too. Blech!

I am deeply sorry to read about your beautiful Oma. I thank you for sharing her with us over the years. She felt like a part of my extended blog family. You know I loved the pop of red with the berries....the photos were perfect for today for Oma's post.

    With hugs and love Cecilia
